I thought I had it narrowed down to Citrico's for our Anniversary (no kids!!) :) I just read the Jiko menu, sounded just as yoummy, and I just confused myself again?? Any opinions out there??? Thanks, Tracey

You cannot go wrong either way:goodvibes. I always think Citricos is a bit fancier, but like both menus. We'll be at Jiko next week Thursday.

First it was Citricos over Jiko. Then it was Jiko over Citricos. After our last visit to both a few months ago, I'd have to give the edge to Citricos again. It goes back and forth. Both are nice.

DH & I dined at both last September for our adults only trip and I personally enjoyed Jiko more than Citricos. Of course, I do love the Grand Floridian and enjoyed walking around after, but my meal at Jiko was better. We also ate at California Grill on that trip. The service was outstanding at all three. Jiko is very romantic, if that is something you are considering. and slightly more unique due to the Animal Kingdom Lodge itself.

We haven't eaten at Citrico's but I'd say it does seem a bit "fancier". We've eaten at Jiko and really enjoyed it. Having eaten at Jiko and looked at Citrico's menu, I'd choose Jiko.

We went to Citricos for our anniversary and then Jiko's the following night.

The only problem with Jiko's is their seating for two - so unromantic. You're practically elbow to elbow with your neighbor. At least at Citricos we were seated at a table for 4 by the window. For that reason alone I'd say Citricos.
Citricos will also personalize a menu for you as a keepsake.

Do you have to ask them ahead of time to personalize it, or can you ask that night? Do you ask the server about the personalization? Is there a charge?
Thanks!

I don't think you can go wrong with either - these are definitely two of my favorite places on property - easily in my top 5 (along with V&A, bluezoo, and narcoossee). I feel like both resorts are romantic, so no real edge there. I guess Citrico's seems a little more "fancy", so if that is the vibe you are going for, then I'd give the littlest edge to Citricos.

I whole heartedly agree...we did not feel that Jiko was romantic at all. Our table for 2 was squeezed so close between two other tables and we had no privacy at all......and we had no choice but to over hear a conversation that we would have gladly passed on.:scared1: For this reason and the fact that we were not impressed with our server, at all, we will not be going to Jiko this year. We have visited almost every Signature, some of them numerous times. DH and I are really looking forward to trying Citricos for the first time, in Oct.

No there isn't a charge and definately make arrangements prior to the night of your ADR. Our TA handled this for us but you could probably call a week or two before and speak with the manager.

As others have said, you can't go wrong either way. These are my two favorite places at WDW. I have gone to both on my last three trips to WDW (March 2008, Oct 2008 and Feb 2009). Jiko is my #1 and has been for some time, but Citrico's has definitely narrowed the gap recently.

Oh my gosh!!!! We are people that just can't make a decision. Thought after reading all this that we had decided on Citrico's, BUT NOW we're flipping back to Narcoossee's:sad2: We just can't make up our mind. It's that almond crusted cheesecake and I wouldn't mind trying the surf and turf. I don't like seafood, never have, I don't like that fishy taste. But I remember as a kid trying lobster and loving it. Being on the dining plan thought maybe I would be adventurous & try it. If I didn't like it, I would still have the steak. And I wouldn't have to pay OOP for it. Thanks for all your input. Tracey
