Jiko - How much time will we need?

DW and I are FINALLY getting a chance to dine at Jiko. Looking forward to this immensely. But.... we are planning the Magic Kingdom fireworks dessert party afterwards. Jiko reservations are at 5:30pm and we need to show up at Tomorrowland Terrace at 8:20pm. Sounds like a lot of time but I'm hearing Jiko takes some time. We have a car so we're not dependent on WDW transportation. Will we have enough time?

I'm not sure about how long it takes specifically at Jiko, but that's cutting it a bit close for my comfort. Remember when driving to MK you will need to park at the TTC and take the ferry or monorail. So it will take time to get there regardless, on top of the drive to the TTC. I wouldn't feel comfortable with that timeframe.

Yep.... parking and getting into the park will take about an hour in my estimation. So if Jiko doesn't take more than 1.5 hrs we should be ok. But maybe it does take longer than that??

Yeah...that's the thing. I feel like I would be too stressed out worrying about the time to enjoy dinner. Maybe set a dining alert for an alternate day/time to go?

Appreciate your input and I think you're probably right. Even if there's enough time I would hate to rush it... It's our first time at Jiko. Hate to push it... or as you say, be "looking at my watch" the whole dinner Thanks!!

I was going to add that the dishes at Jiko are quite rich. My daughter and I had an appetiser each, but shared an entrée and we were too full for pudding. I don’t think you would have fully enjoyed a desserts party after a Jiko meal. Enjoy your holiday.

You should have just enough time, but I would suggest a MiniVan so you go right to the front of MK and don’t have to worry about the ferry boat/monorail

At most Signature dining, we expect to spend 90 minutes to 2 hours. We have drinks, appetizer, wine, entree and dessert. AND, we are in no hurry. We have been known to slow down servers who are bringing things too quickly. We are there to enjoy the meal.
If you spend 90 minutes at the meal, about 30 minutes driving to MK and parking. That puts you at 7:30 waiting for transportation to the MK. You should be OK. HOWEVER, we have had meals where we have waited 20+ minutes to get seated at Jiko, so you could be cutting it close. I would try and change you ADR to 5 pm and you should be good.
