Two questions.....

1) We currently have reservations for Fulton's for this Thurs. night but with all the bad reviews, I'm considering a switch to Jiko. I've read that a PS won't be needed if we eat late. Any thoughts?? I'm trying to keep the long distance calling down.

2) Which has better atmosphere for breakfast at GF - 1900 PF or the GF cafe? Do we need PS for either of these??

Jiko's is a good choice!! I imagine you'll be OK for THurs. To be safe, just call when you get down there and make "same day" PS.

Thanks Uncleromulus. Anyone that can help out with the breakfast decision?? The breakfast at 1900 PF sounds better to me but I wonder if we're out of luck since we'd be going this Friday and don't have a PS.

We just got back from The World Sunday ... we did TWO meals at the GF: breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Faire (on two different days, of course). Both were excellent.

My wife especially likes the strawberry soup -- available at both meals! -- and the kid's buffet, for the tiny hamburgers.

The characters at breakfast are unusual and fun, too - Mary Poppins and Bert were there with us, and Alice in Wonderland, too.

And Jiko? Stunning. For my money, the single best hotel restaurant on property. (Besides V&A's, that is -- which is in a class all its own...)

Run, do not walk, to visit Jiko and have an amazing meal. I highly recommend the tenderloin with mac & cheese. And the flatbread for an appetizer! Mmmmmmm....

Thanks Greg K. I can't wait for Jiko now!!

Did you have PS for 1900 PF for breakfast? Do you think we need one. Problem is we like to sleep in so we don't want to be bound to a wake up time.

Can't help with the food as we've never had breakfast at GFC and it's been years since we had breakfast at 1900, but I think GFC is a prettier space. It has windows that look out on the courtyard for the entire length of the restaurant. It's very pretty. We do lunch there every trip and the food and service at lunch are great.

I imagine that you know that 1900 is a character buffet? GFC is a full service restaurant. Since we no longer have small ones, we never do the buffets anymore but if you have little ones, perhaps that will suit you.

I would pick Jiko's over Fulton's in a heartbeat!

We did have PS ressies for 1900 PF. But this is a relatively slow time of year ... you may be able to make them when you get down there. Especially if you opt to go later, like around 9:30 or 10.

Be prepared to wait 15 or 20 minutes for your table, though. And also be prepared to enjoy the company of many loud and restless children. Before and during your meal. ;)

Well, I'm on hold right now to make my PS for Jiko since it sounds like something I don't want to miss.................. PS made!!! I'm glad I made a PS for Park Faire as well - we couldn't get in until 10:00 a.m. and we wanted 9:00. Oh well, at least we'll get to experience them both. Thanks for all of your suggestions!!

Jiko is our favorite rest at WDW!!! I found it to be 10 times better than Boma!!! My DH and I just got some appetizers. They were all deliciuos!!!!!
