I went to Boma a few years ago and enjoyed it. We went for breakfast this year and loved it. Now for our upcoming trip in January, I REALLY want to go to Jiko. I have most of our ADR's made, but am having trouble picking a few more. Would it be stupid to do a dinner at Boma and Jiko? I understand one is a buffet and one is a signiture restaurant, but is the food similar? We are probably going to cancel LTT, and I don't know what to choose instead (doesn't have to be MK area) and we also have 1 more undecided night. This is getting too confusing lol. thanks for any help! :wave2:

no, it would not be stupid to do both restaurants. we have dined at both, but jiko is by far our favorite. it is in our top 3 restaurants. the food is not similar. do what you feel like is the best for you and your party. enjoy your dinners and trip to wdw!

Both are great, and very different. Jiko should be experienced (I'm a vegetarian, but my husband says their chicken is the best he's ever had), and if you like Boma, why not go back? Enjoy!!

We love both, but aren't doing Jiko this trip as it is 2 TS credits. We're skipping it so we can do another TS. We really enjoy the variety of Boma.

Ohhh I would do both. In fact that is what we do. They are different experiences but both are great !!!!!! :cool1:

Jiko - we love this restaurant. This summer we tried the Boma dinner buffet for the first time, while it was nice, it didn't live up to the hype that I'd read about here on the DIS.

Without a doubt do both. I go to Boma at least once on every trip and recently tried Jiko. Both are excellent but totally different experiences. Jiko is a relaxing sit-down meal in an elegant setting; Boma is a bustling buffet (that is not meant in a negative way :) . I wouldn't really consider the food similar, but both have somewhat of an african flair.

Boma is a buffet and Jiko is a wonderful sit-down meal. Jiko has the finest African wine selection in the United States, the best of service, and wonderful meals. I think that I would go with Jiko. :)

I agree with everyone else. We do both, enjoy both...And the chicken at Jiko is the best I've had too....

I would try both. Jiko's filet with mac and cheese is also great. The flatbreads
are wonderful to.
