Just thought i would share :)

My kids love Jigsaw puzzles (me too) and while on our Trip to DLRP last week my 2 older children both bought a jigsaw puzzle in the park.
They have worked very hard and both puzzles have now been finished :cool1:

My daughters was 1500 pieces

i think they cost about 17.99E each

i think they did a brilliant job:goodvibes

Fantastic! :thumbsup2 Your children did very well, will they be able to bear to pack them up again? Which do you think was the harder puzzle to do? I know one had more pieces but the other seems to have more block colour. Very tempted to get these to do for our DS (he would be unable to do them himself as he has special needs but would love pointing to the pictures as they came together, especially the park attraction one) but wondered how long we would have to give up the dining table for! :goodvibes

I love those jigsaws :goodvibes. I think the park attraction one will be my priority because I noticed that the other one is available as part of the parks collection at the uk disneystore.

Cherrymarzipan - have you tried a portapuzzle mat? That way you can pack the puzzle away when you want to use the table. I have one and as long as you put the loose inner sections back on top of the puzzle before you fold it up, it holds the puzzle in place really well. :goodvibes I store ours behind the sofa. :thumbsup2

Hmm, interesting - I have wondered about those before but wasn't sure how good they were, nice to have a recommendation. If I come back next week with a jigsaw or two :rolleyes1 I will have to seriously consider getting one. Thank you. :)

Wow, how great are they! They clearly have worked very hard! How old are your children? I think my DD1 would struggle a little but with a bit of help....

I love the retro one in particular. It is fab! It would make a lovely picture if framed. You used to be able to buy glue like stuff that you applied to the front of jigsaws to make them permanent - pop in a frame and voila - a fab memento! :goodvibes

Jo, the DS is getting some of the retro collection - coming soon - not sure what though and how prices will compare to the parks esp with AP discount ;). But, if you don't manage to get one for whatever reason, you can always have a look at DS.

hi cherrymarzipan, Thanks and you were right the mickey and minnie one was harder IMHO just because of the block colour pieces with the stars and their clothes, but i do love it as there is so much glitter on it! you cant really see it in the photo but the stars in the sky have bits of glitter, mickey and minnies hats with the stars on are glitter and the big swirl around the 20 it glitter too :)

I let them do them on a paste table (decorators table when it's folded down flat) On the living room floor. My daughters puzzle (retro park) filled it and over hanged a bit on one side, My sons (mickey) was smaller. It took them about 3-4 days each but they were only doing a bit for like 15 minutes and then going off to do other stuff before doing a bit more.
I have to admit that i helped a lot to do my sons one.

my daughter is 12 and son is 11

They look great!! :thumbsup2

I did one of the big photomosaic ones of Pooh bear and it took so long that I couldn't bear to take it apart - so I framed it!!

Well done they look great.
I will be treating myself to one (or both of them) for my birthday- we set off in the morning.
I get one most years and can never bare to break them up so I buy the cheap large clip frames and have them hanging in the down stairs loo (which is my little Mickey Mouse shrine).
