I'm going to end up having a 2 hour and 30 minute lay over in New York at JFK airport and I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any neat shops, or places to see inside the airport while I'm there just to kill time. I think my plane in arriving in terminal 4. Should I stick close by to my connecting flight or would it be alright to venture out? This will be my first time flying by myself or taking a connecting flight so I'm having a little anxiety:scared: about it. Thanks!

That's not too long of a layover. There may be a massage spot or nail salon. I can waste time in whatever stores happen to be in the terminal, I'm sure you'll find something to interest you there.

If you are taking JetBlue, their new terminal is like a mini shopping mall. You would have plenty to do there.

From my last fight I learned a valuable lesson-your layover probably will be a LOT shorter than you think-or a LOT LONGER!;)

I would bring a book, a movie on your I-phone or something else to entertain you. Or get a Starbucks and just watch the flow.

Airport shops just dont thrill me-I prefer People Watching.:)
