Jewelry from Ex's

What do you do with jewelry from exboyfriends? I have been thinking about selling it on Ebay, but feel kind of strange doing that. I have no attachment or relationship with any of these people and am thinking maybe I should make some money off the items. It would be different if I had a child with any of these people (I would then want to pass the items on to the child). I am married so I know I will not be getting back together with any of these guys.

If selling it is wrong, what should I do with it???

Either sell it or have it reworked into another piece of jewelry. My friend had a pair of tanzanite earrings that which had small stones, and she got a diamond from her grandmother, probably about 1/2 carat in size. She took the earrings and the diamond and had them made into a beautiful ring.

Another friend's mother had her diamond wedding band fashioned into a cocktail ring after she and her husband split. She had one of those bands that was a circle of diamonds all the way around her finger, and she had all the diamonds reset into a large, sort of abstract shaped cocktail ring.

But really, if you have no sentimental attachment to it, I think you ought to sell it.

Or better yet, sell it and then use the money to buy yourself some new jewelry!

If you like the jewelry, why get rid of it? I have a diamond pendant and earrings my ex gave me, I know i could never get near what they are worth selling them, besides I wanted them for so long, and I never think about who gave them to me. My fiance never questions me about them, he knows where I got them. He replaced my wedding set with ones from him, but necklaces and earrings are no big deal to him.
