We are looking at going Oct 2015 from Birmingham direct if poss, if not Manc or Gat. Has anybody booked using Jetsave I've heard that they are reasonably priced. What planes do they use?

Just did a couple of dummy bookings, MAN next summer offered me Monarch or VA.
Next I tried BHX but it said max of 11 months out, so tried dates this year and it offered United or AirFrance nothing direct though.

Looks like they deal with all airlines but prices I just saw were very expensive.

thanks Wayne, we have never found direct from BHX, hopefully the extended runway which is being built by 2014 will offer more choice. Don't fancy indirect, thanks for looking at the prices.

we've used them twice

both times we were able to get the holiday for just over £50 more than the flight price with Virgin. This year I could have booked a holiday for our dates for less than Virgin wanted for flight prices on the same dates (this was at the 11 month window as the prices were released). If you're comparing the prices to indirect then no, they're not cheap, but if you want to fly Virgin I think they're competitive (we paid about £700 each for B&B and direct flights over Easter so school holidays, 2 years ago)

I would love to fly direct from Birmingham - I live 30 minutes from BHX. The prices I looked at for 2012 were really expensive though. I wouldn't be bothered about who I flew with - it's 9 hours of discomfort and endurance either way lol.

thanks all - yeah I'm about 20mins from BHX shame they don't fly direct from there....maybe soon when the runway is finished.
I'm comparing really to Thompson - we have always gone with Virgin before but last time was 2006 so I know the prices have rocketed since then, and we have a mini person to take in 2015 with us - so we need Travel Agent/Direct/cheapest but has to have tv's in the headrests, not sure if all long haul planes now have these.
