Teresa and I arrived at the Fort this past Sunday. Jordan and his wife joined us Wednesday. We will be leaving the Fort on Saturday 11/8. I have been very surprised at the number of empty sites leading up to Halloween with 700 loop being empty with the exception of the very last site on the right as you exit the loop. Some pics so far.

Site 428. We were in site 430 last year. Not having Archer here this year, I decided to not put out many decorations.

Last night Jordan and Katie took us to Trader Sam's. We had a blast. It was mine and Teresa's first visit.

Not sure if many of you heard about the storm here on Monday but if you did, it was everything you heard and more. Just one Pic from the exit of Navi River. Does not do it justice. The wind, lightning and rain was the fiercest if seen here in 25 years.
Some decorated site pics.....

I'll post more later.....

PS.....typical Fort rules. Lots of e-bikes, motorized skate boards and unsupervised student golf cart drivers. Saw a motorized razor with a girl riding with her little sister being followed by a student driver. Only a matter of time until we have a repeat of 2 years ago......

I saw on You Tube that there was a lot of standing water and a lot of empty sites probably because of that. Wonder what they would do if the Fort was completely sold out and someone had to camp with that. What judgment call would Disney do in that case?

Yes.....just what the Fort needed......

About next year for Halloween that we may give it a break. I wondered why it seemed a little calmer, at least in the 400 loop. If these guys continue to make their presence known, Halloween at the Fort has a chance 👍👍

Our fellow Diser @Flametamr is in 1700 loop in the clover leaf. He may be able to add some insight from his side. The clover leaf has a tendency to take Halloween to a different level.

That Monday rain turned my graveyard into a swamp...

Spooky.

Like a century ago in New Orleans when the Mississippi would flood.

Coffins buried underground would be lifted by the rising water table and BREAK THE SURFACE of the ground with unfortunate results.

Hope you still had a good trip, @Kenito .

So Sorry Everyone. I got consumed with family stuff that I forgot to even log on to here. Only got to visit with Jets70 Steve and his wife for a couple of brief times. Yes the cloverleaf was crazy. Definitely a challenge for us to even get out Halloween night. On a brighter note I will completely retire at the end of December and will be able to travel anytime and attend any meet ups. We will be back next year again for Halloween.

Joe, I know that Halloween at the Fort is your thing for many more years than I have been there. You are a REGULAR in the cloverleaf loop of 1600-1900. My dad and I were fortunate to hang with you a couple years ago and take you and DD as passengers in the Halloween Golf Cart parade in 2017 (I had to drive). Thanks for introducing dad around to your regulars - he STILL loves to talk about it like he is a Halloween know-it-all. :sad2:

Nice to hear you can retire soon and do WHAT you WANT to do WHEN.

Please let me ride your coattails when the time comes. ED
