Jetblue

heh..

it's a budget airline that operates with the business philosophy summarized by an ad campaign - it's not an airline that happens to have a customer service department, but that it's a customer service department that happens to have an airline.

it was founded by several SWA execs and really operates in an anti-legacy fashion most anywhere it can

Seems like a legit question to me?! It's called a budget airline but we love it. There have assigned seats, the seats are a decent size and leather. Each seat has a tv w/movies, tv, etc. Very nice personnel. Plus we got an IAD to MCO round trip for $120! What more could you ask for???

marianleah, when are you flying out cuz I just did the same thing. We are flying out Oct 20 for our disney member cruise.

JetBlue is hands down the best airline. I have flown just about all of them. I flew to WDW this spring with them for the first time and now I fly them all the time. On my last trip I went to retrieve my checked luggage at the belt and they were not to be found so I went to the JetBlue office next to the belt and a nice lady said they had my luggage and one bag had been ripped, I had just gotten the new bag on the trip back. About 10 minutes later a guy stopped in and said the new bag was here. That’s right they got me a brand new bag just like the other one. That is the first time ANY airline has done this. This was at 8:30pm on a Sunday. I was blown away. NWA destroyed my luggage on a flight and said oh well. The LCD DTV and snacks included on the JetBlue flights are also great.

I am just so excited to get such a good rate. I heard of all the SW Dings but none for my area so I've been looking and lurking for some cheap flights and finally I went through with it. Glad to hear good things about it, even with all the Jet Blue problems I heard about last year or was it earlier this year? Anyhooo, nice to hear good thing about JB.

We had a return flight on AirTran last year from Disney and honestly the seat felt and looking like they were from the 60's. We would be sitting in the seat and it would just slowly slip out from under us. There was no padding just fabric over the wood, I didn't even know if they would float if we had to use them as floatation decives. I tried to avoid flying with the this time around.

all the problems. this year. weather. what happened to them has happened to other airlines, which is not an excuse. partly their fault, mostly weather and JFK policies.

every passenger got to fly + got a voucher. jetblue took full responsibility and didn't even blame the weather. in response, they created and are the first and only airline to have a passenger bill of rights. they replaced their CEO. despite the fact that they don't overbook, they offer $1000 to anyone who does get bumped for overbooking.

My problem with them is that everytime I check them, they are by far the most expensive airline to fly. May be you get what you pay for, but I check them every time I take a trip and have actually only booked a flight with them once (one way). For our trip this summer they were about $150/ticket more than Delta.

I am puzzled by people calling them a discount airline.:confused3

Did you look directly on their website? That is where I found it to be the cheapest. Good Luck.

depending on the route and time of year, jetblue can be beat sure, especially by delta. but look what delta does. it makes sales and then consolidates flights repeatedly. many report having their flights changed 4 or 5 times. and it doesn't include all the neat little perks JB offers. all those Song planes are only used in long distance travel.

JetBlue is our airline of choice. We always seem to get the best rate with them. Always had a good experience with them. The kids love the TV's too!

I love Jetblue. The prices used to be a bit lower but I think with the price of fuel they have no choice. But having said that they have the nicest crews I have ever flown with, their customer service is great, the seats are comfy with extra leg room and the TV's speak for themselves.

I give it :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Tinytink, We're leaving 9/22 from IAD. Where in No. Va. are you? I'm in Sterling, so only a ten minute cab ride to Dulles. We've been very happy w/previous JetBlue flights, and you can't beat a $59 one way fare!

We love JetBlue. Leather seats, more leg room, direct tv...
Unfortunately, this past trip we experienced huge delays - but most of that was uncontrollable weather. I wish they flew more non-stops in and out of Newark.
This past trip, Continental was cheaper, but the Direct TV alone was worth the difference in price. As one who does not enjoy flying, the TV keeps my mind off the fact that I am not the one in the control seat. :goodvibes
