I've never seen JetBlue's prices drop. That is not to say it's never happened, but, I've never seen it. I routinely watch prices for a few destinations.
They are usually lowest on the first day the fares are announced as open, and increase from that point onward.
I think you made a good choice with Delta. FWIW, I have found Delta to be cheaper to almost all locations, and only fly Jetblue to MCO because it's a direct flight from my home city.
I thought the exact opposite actually. Could be that there are differences because we don't fly out of the same airports? (I didn't check where you were from) For a trip we took to Boston a couple of weeks ago I noticed that in the beginning the flights were about $350 RT on JetBlue. We booked about 11 weeks out at $298 RT. With LAX to MCO it was low about 6 months out but I was being greedy and wanted it to go lower but instead it went up by about $50. But again, at the 3 month mark or so it went back to that original price.
I check flights constantly for me and my extended family. They all come to me to book their flights. I'm really disappointed about where JetBlue is going as a company but thankfully they aren't the only airline around and I don't HAVE to use them. I'll most likely be cancelling my CC with them before the one year anniversary of the card is up. The fact that they are adding more seats to their planes doesn't really bother me but I have a feeling it would bother my husband as he's 6'4". Oh well, all good things must come to an end.
