Jetblue opens tomorrow!

The $75 minimum only applies after 14 days after your tickets are purchased. Within the initial 14 days after booking, you can still get the credit for smaller amounts.

We didn't find these new fares horrible, either. We paid over $400 return for the end of August, so $348 for May is a step in the right direction for us. We could have flown for $225 pp if Tuesday to Tuesday flights worked with our schedules.
Oh thanks

Just checked and mine are actually $40/person higher today, glad I pulled the trigger yesterday

I have flown Jet Blue for years mainly because they credited $ to your account if you noticed airfares drop. Recently I was credited $65 per person for six tickets just before the policy changed. Tickets were still priced too high $363 each rd trip but at least I gained some money back. Just a few days ago I noticed the tickets dropped another $25 per ticket and I called again and was told that there is now a $75 fee applied to any refund credit so if your airfare drops $75 they apply the fee and you get zero $. I'll be searching more diligently on other airlines now.

See my posts above. You can still get a refund of any amount within 14 days of your original ticket purchase.

Yeah but it used to be at any time the price dropped. I love JB but lately their prices, times and policy changes like this aren't working for me.

Sadly, JB is trying to play catch-up as far as profits go. Just read an article in the paper this morning, saying they were looking at various options to tighten up with. Some things mentioned were....charging for that first checked bag, adding more seats to planes. They've been messing with times and routes for awhile now. And that whole credit thing? It was nice to be able to get credits for lower fares. I imagine that they changed this in a cost saving measure. Sadly, it will lose them money. If you do t have a credit sitting there, you are more inclined to look at other airlines. JB is my favorite airline...I will continue looking there first. But....if there is a huge price difference, or times or route aren't close to what I need, I'll look elsewhere. I'm flying to San Diego in early Dec....booked my flight out on JB....decent price at a time close to what I needed. Okay. But going back to Boston? Red-eye flights only. There is no way my dh is flying overnight...so, had to book with AA. Price was okay, not terrific. But still cheaper than JB's overnight flights.

The credits I have received, and there have been many over the past 10 yrs, have always been later than 14 days from ticket purchase. Obviously Jet Blue can change its policies but this is not a positive change for passengers.
