JetBlue November fares are out! What do you think of this Boston fare?

Well, I got my Oct flights on Delta a long time ago cause I didn't have the patience to wait..lol...Glad I did, the went up at least $100 per person and were expensive on JB, also.
Now I am on the lookout for reasonable air fare for my solo trip in March. Not sure if I should grab the $257 RT from BOS-MCO on Delta or not :confused3

Jet Blue fare for 11/5 - 11/12 is $457!!! I wish I had booked on Continental back in Jan. when they first released their Nov. rates of around $360 pp. I was holding out for JetBlue because I thought Continental was too high, and was counting on JetBlue's Nov. rates being cheaper when they were first released. Last year on JetBlue for the same time period, it was only $280 pp.
I'm not sure what I'll do now.

I just realized that the flight I wanted Sat and Sat is $297 but the same times Sun & Sun is $257. And I don't really care if we go Sat thru Sat or Sun thru Sun so I booked through Kayak, then called Disney and booked at Pop Century, and we're all set! I will be in Disney for Halloween!

I'm so excited my head is going to pop off.

We did the exact same thing. We changed our Sat-Sat trip to Fri-Fri and it saved us quite a bit.

Good to hear things came together for you! :thumbsup2

This is why I love the Disboards! I had never heard of Kayak before and I have been watching all the airlines for weeks for our next trip 10/27 -11/5. I wanted to fly from Albany, but fares are starting at $267.00 so I pop on Disboards this morning, see that JetBlue from JFK is available on Kayak and I have just booked our tickets RT JFK/MCO for 217.10 ea. We were able to get an early am flight out and later return and I am super pleased!

On our last trip Dec 2005 we were able to buy 178.00 RT tkts on Song in and out of JFK, but I fear the days of fares in that price range will be few and far between, especially with the oil situation.

Thanks everyone for the information and now I too feel one step closer to the trip!

I am new to Kayak -- when I click on the Jet Blue flights I want on Kayak it brings me to JetBlue to JetBlue Online Booking. Has anyone ever booked their flight this way through Kayak or do you book directly through the airline? (just hate to hit that button to purchase until I am sure!)

Lorie
PLEASE click to the service provider through Kayak!!!! As a travel search engine (not an online travel agency), Kayak charges NOTHING to its users. Instead, they are supported by fees paid by the service provider - and, okay, by the minimal advertising on the site). As stated above, you will be making the actual purchase from the airline, hotel, car rental company.

Not sure why you didn't get any results. I just did those dates and got 231, 1 stop with jet blue alos direct flights 236 with US Airways and others.

I use bookingbuddy.com then click Kayak.com or any of the other options they have.

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

I'm not sure what I'll do now.

We're also going for TC week (11/4-11/11) and I opted out of JFK. Would have preferred EWR but for the savings, I'll do the drive. We ended up w/ $237 rt/pp. I could have gotten it down to $217 but that was for the earliest flights each way and that wasn't going to work for us. I also noticed that all the flights on Sunday were a bit more money (tried a number of different combos to try for the best price, but a savings of $40 or so overall wouldn't have made up for the extra night at a hotel).

Can you get to JFK? I know it's not optimal, but the prices are much better. I also heard that someone booked that week at 335 days w/ Cont and got it for $125/rt. They were released before January, according to this poster.

Good luck.

Bashful - It could be when I going. I'm leaving on 10/26 and returning on 11/4. I'll be heading home when the rest of the NJ is heading down. :rotfl2:

Worst case scenario, you get a credit. :thumbsup2 GODD LUCK

What do you mean get a credit? If you buy right now for $200 round trip and it goes down to $165, they will give you a credit for $35?

Hmm...that could be it. We're leaving 11/4 till 11/11. I'm so bummed out with these fares.....

i AM SO CONFLICTED. tHIS MORNING MY DATES WERE $615. They are now $257 rt (6 of us going) I can live with that but we would need to do a limo if we don't go with SW out of Manchester. Times are great, what to do, what to do. Should I wait???????

Yes, if the flights you purchase drop in price (exact same date and time) and you contact JetBlue, they will issue you a credit voucher towards future flights. I have no idea if they will ever credit back your CC (some people have had SW do this and I know that it's happened at other airlines but few and far between) but if you will fly again, then you can use the credit when paying for future tickets.

I think, however, that we won't be seeing much price dropping in the future (at least not the near future). With gas and oil prices rising the airlines are not going to be dropping their prices unless they are unable to sell their flights out and that just does not seem to be happening. I think you have to find flight days and times that work for you (perhaps expanding to different, nearby airports) and then book it. If they drop, I'll call for a credit. If not, I'm insulated against what I believe will be a definite price rise in the next few months.

Considering Newark for my dates was in the $417 range and JFK was at $237, it's a no brainer. I have to drive and park at Newark anyway, so I add a bit of gas and some tolls to the mix. Still much less than $180/pp in costs.

I think it didn't work because your return date is in December.

I booked Delta for 11/21/06 to 11/26/06 for $179 roundtrip non-stop. I am glad I bought it when I did because the prices went crazy after that. Let's hope they stay in business now. I first choice was Jetblue but now I am glad I purchased when I did.

I am surpised that Kayak has the dates before the are released on the Jetblue website. Does this happen offen?

I think you only have a year to use the credit, though.

Does anyone know if this is true? Since we are taking two big trips this year, I think next year will consist of a non-airplane vacation.

Thanks for the advice. It is just such a huge increase in price from last year.
