Jetblue high prices

is the extra space extra speed at 50.00 per person X 4 a waste of money, not really needed or is it a good value and perk for the cost? any experience? do all the seats recline in that section 1-5?

They don't recline anymore than any other seat. My DH likes the even more leg room seats so we usually get them. But there are only 2 of us & our cost is $40. If your family is tall or likes to stretch there legs more, they might enjoy the extra room. We haven't found the extra speed worth it at MCO - we didn't seem to save much time. $200 extra is a good bit of money. If it will strain the budget, I think you'd be fine if you skip it.

thanks for the info! We fly from BDL to MCO and back so for the 4 of us roundtrip it would be 400.00! i wasnt sure if this perk was really worth it overall. thanks for your experience.:thumbsup2

I love flying put of Worcester...it's easy to get to, parking is half what it is in Boston. But.....there is one flight a day to MCO and one flight a day back to Worcester....drives me nuts. The flight home is at 8am...which makes it easy to turn the plane around and head back around 11:30! JB says they plan to add addtl flights in the future...can't wait to have a better choice. Early morning going down, mid-afternoon heading home would be nice.
I'm finding pretty comparable fares from Worcester as Boston and Providence. Here's the issue....we all fot used to those $79 each way fares! Man, those were nice. But, as other airlines, notably SW, started raising fares, so did JB! Right now, JB is usually cheaper than SW. Of course, you get those two free checked bags with SW, and you can change your flights with no change fees. Now....with JB planning on charging for all checked bags and implementing a tiered fare system, they are going to have to stay competitive with SW...so, I would imagine JB will offer a tier with lower fares. Otherwise they're going to lose a lot of business to SW.

Yeah, I like the entertainment on JB, and the ability to get extra leg room. But....if that is going to cost me $50+ more a flight, no way. I have had pretty decent brand loyalty, with JB. But, that's going to change if they start taking stuff away while raising fares.

Yes we did Worcester last April and it was great. The JetBlue crew there was awesome and played Disney trivia while waiting and entertained all the kids! My daughter keeps asking to go back to that airport!

Hi everyone. Booked my airfare 2 weeks ago from LaGuardia to MCO for 4 people on 7/7 and the fare for the same flight today is $165 compared to the $145 pp I paid. My return flight on 7/28 is still $117 per person.

Last year I booked our flights to MCO in February and I think I paid less pp than I did this year. I'm wondering how high the cost of flights are going to get.
