Has anyone notice that JetBlue seems to have higher prices then previously? I check everyday as we are going to Florida in April and August/Sept this year. It just seems that their prices are staying high, when previously they seemed cheaper. Does anyone know when the best time to purchase JetBlue tickets for the best price? Thanks

Jetblue is also our preferred airline.

We paid $348 round trip (nonstop both directions) for our May trip. Patiently waiting now to book October and December.

We buy our tickets as soon as fares are released for our travel dates, and find that generally prices only ever go up from there, not down.

I just booked the 4 of us direct from Boston for $1,071 rt. 8:00 am flight down on a Wednesday and 8:55 pm flight back on a Thursday. I figure anything $1,000 or less for the 4 of us is cool. $1,071 is close enough to $1,000 for me to be happy with it.

I booked from Worcester to Orlando for this summer. Paid $1600 for 4 people, round trip, nonstop flights.

Woah! That seems way high. I know Worcester tends to be higher and I think only has one flight oit and one flight in from MCO ???

I had looked there for our May trip and I can't remeber exactly what it was but I ended up going with SW out of PVD for $980 for four of us.

I agree it seemed high, but the times work perfectly this trip.

I booked ORH about 6 months out and paid $692 for the 3 of us with the insurance... I think it was $632 before the insurance. Flying Sunday to Sunday early June
Love the idea of $42 a week to park.. Not so crazy about an 8am flight home though

We paid $348 pp return, nonstop both directions, for our upcoming May trip (flying from Syracuse). We're expecting $400 pp return, at best, for our October trip when fares are released this coming Sunday.

We fly Westchester as it's cheaper then Bradley in CT and about the same distance from us. There's actually several JetBlue each day down and back from MCO. We typically pay $275 or less, but I'm finding them to be much higher now for weekends, Fri-Fri, Sat-Sat or Sun-Sun travel. I'm hesistant to book as JetBlue doesn't issue the credits like they used to, so I'm holding out until what I see is a good price. I wouldn't pay $400 round trip that's for sure.

JetBlue is having a $32 each way sale today until 4:00 p.m. None of the dates work for me, sadly. Tues, Wed. Sat flights until Feb. 10th I think.

Yes!! I've noticed it's a little cheaper about 3 months out. If you fly them often, they'll give you credit towards a future flight if price goes down. Midweek seems cheaper too. Good luck!

Only within 14 days of the ticket purchase. Otherwise, a $75 per ticket fee applies.

This was a new policy introduced in August 2014.

The link that I provided is travel-agent specific, but it also applies to tickets purchased by individuals.

We booked when the flight were first released for our April/May Trip and paid $1500 for the 4 of us. I checked the other day and it was down to $1200....but if I add back in the $75 fee for each tickets its only a savings of $31....not worth the rigamaroll....The change of this policy sucks!!

Cheer up. For most U.S. airlines, the change fee for a domestic ticket is $200.

I love flying put of Worcester...it's easy to get to, parking is half what it is in Boston. But.....there is one flight a day to MCO and one flight a day back to Worcester....drives me nuts. The flight home is at 8am...which makes it easy to turn the plane around and head back around 11:30! JB says they plan to add addtl flights in the future...can't wait to have a better choice. Early morning going down, mid-afternoon heading home would be nice.
I'm finding pretty comparable fares from Worcester as Boston and Providence. Here's the issue....we all fot used to those $79 each way fares! Man, those were nice. But, as other airlines, notably SW, started raising fares, so did JB! Right now, JB is usually cheaper than SW. Of course, you get those two free checked bags with SW, and you can change your flights with no change fees. Now....with JB planning on charging for all checked bags and implementing a tiered fare system, they are going to have to stay competitive with SW...so, I would imagine JB will offer a tier with lower fares. Otherwise they're going to lose a lot of business to SW.

Yeah, I like the entertainment on JB, and the ability to get extra leg room. But....if that is going to cost me $50+ more a flight, no way. I have had pretty decent brand loyalty, with JB. But, that's going to change if they start taking stuff away while raising fares.

Just chiming in here. We live closer to HPN than Bradley but have switched to Bradley the last 2-3 years as its much cheaper to fly out of- I typically get $200 per ticket. And the parking (offsite at Bradley is a mere $4.50 per day, as opposed to the I believe its up to $28 per day at HPN). HPN is 40 min from my house- BDL is 1 hour and 10 min. Back when Air Tran competed with Jet Blue for the direct MCO flights HPN was always cheaper.... that is not always the case anymore, fwiw.

That being said, we are flying Delta one way and Jet Blue the other for our april trip out of HPN (only as its spring break week in CT and the NY airports were MUCH cheaper!). Jet Blue is our favorite but we also fly Delta and Southwest (the southwest credit card miles are awesome). Happy Traveling.

I just booked a trip from RDU to SFO on Jet Blue for $519 RT. They were $100 less than any other airline and this trip was booked 3 weeks out from departure. (Sun-Fri trip, redeye home)

Work is paying for this trip, I could have flown anyone as long as I booked thru Amex, but I wanted JB for the TV's, BOS/JFK to SFO is a long time in the air.

So, It depends on timing. In my case, I did well. Now trying to get into San Jose, didn't work. I could get in but not out for the days I needed.

Try Tampa as an alternate to MCO. No ME but if renting a car, the drive is pretty easy.

Airfare for 4 of us from HPN to MCO was $986. This is for early August departing on a Monday and returning on a Thursday (no stop flights). I'm more than happy with that.

is the extra space extra speed at 50.00 per person X 4 a waste of money, not really needed or is it a good value and perk for the cost? any experience? do all the seats recline in that section 1-5?
