Just got an email from Jetblue indicating that you can book flight thru 2/13 as of Sunday 5/20 at 12:00 noon ET.

How reasonable are the prices on Jetblue when the schedule comes out? I guess my question is do they start off lower given at that point all planes are empty?

We already have a cruise booked for January and will be needing flights at some point. I perfer flying Jetblue over the others.
Although I've had very good luck with SW and their "no change fees". Unfortunately, SW schedules aren't out yet.

I'm wondering if it is historically worth booking the first couple of days.
We did fly this past January, so I will be able to compare '12 vs '13.

Thoughts? Opinions? Thanks!

We booked our flights for our October trip the minute JetBlue extended its schedule and we nabbed $195 RT flights from Washington to Orlando. Those same flights are now $335 RT. :scared1:

Bottom line, I plan to be online at noon on Sunday to book our flights for late January.

We had opposite experiences in 2009/2010 and this year. For our 2010 trip, we booked the day they released their schedule. That was the lowest price those flights ever got. This year when they released for October/November prices were high, $320 RT I think. We waited. I ended up booking a couple of weeks ago when they dropped to $260. I couldn't play the waiting game anymore and prices were right around where I felt comfortable. They've gone up a bit since then (at least they did on the flight times that I wanted.).

I booked our flights the day The Dec fares opened...pd $250 rt.

Right now my exact rt is $440. :scared:

Did anyone see the updated flights? It still shows just to January 6 for me

I bought our RT flights for January 26 and February 2 (DCA to MCO), paid $250 RT for each ticket, which was right in the range I was expecting. Not as cheap as October, but not the outrageous airfares I've seen others report from other airlines.
