Hi,

I just upgraded my seats on JetBlue to the even more leg room ones, flying out of JFK. Has anyone ever done this, particularly out of JFK?

I upgraded for the expedited check in, first to board, and most importantly to be one of the first off the plane at MCO. We have a very early flight and I wanted to have as quick and efficient start as possible with minimal lines. Just get to the gate, get the crew settled in, and go for bagels, coffee, juice, etc.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone that may have done this in the past.

We have done it in the past, but we discovered it is not really worth it. I'm 6'2 and 280 pounds and the Jet Blue regular leg room is fine for me. They always let us board early with our daughter anyway and getting off doesn't save anytime as well. It's a lot of extra money for not much really extra, but just my opinion.

We love the even more space seats on Jetblue. We just upgraded our August flights to them this past week :cheer2:. We fly from Syracuse.

I don't think the Even More Space seats deplane first, though, unless you are in the EMS seats located within the first few rows.

On the Embraer planes, some of the EMS seating are rows 12, 13 and 14 in addition to row 1....so only row 1 would give you the option to deplane quicker than the seats behind you. Priority boarding yes, but I think the plane empties out in the normal fashion (first rows first, back of the plane last).

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong :) .

We love the extra legroom. It makes the flight so much more enjoyable for my 6'4" DH.

Thank you! The flight we booked has the extra leg room seats upfront, so we are in row 3 and should get off very quickly. Stroll over to the monorail quickly and get to the DME in 15-20 minutes from the time we get to the gate. That's the hope at least. We land shortly before 10AM and will be staying at BWI. Once we check in we will grab a quick lunch, pick up the rental car from the dolphin, and hit target for room essentials for our stay. We plan to be at epcot around 4:30-5PM.

We did extra leg room last year but on our return only. It was worth it to bypass the line in MCO for security.

We use it to expedite security (sometimes hectic at JFK, Orlando or Tampa) and especially if traveling with musical instruments like a fiddle or guitar. Access to overhead space is important since most folks are still using the wrong luggage and JetBlue actually puts water and snacks into these bins reducing space for customers...

I'm flying from Providence to MCO in late August. I just added changed my seat, from row 20, to an EMS seat in row 3. Yes, it cost me an addtl $45, but, I'm planning on going with carry-on only, and want to be sure I get space above my seat, and then off that plane and to BWVs as quickly as possible. I land at 7ish, so want to get to the resort with as little mucking about as possible.
Of course, who knows.....I could change my mind and go with a checked bag anyway. But, I'll be off the plane more quickly..and won't be running shoulders with the stranger sitting next to me for 3 hrs on the flight down!
