Jetblue credit card???

I have a JetBlue credit card and booked flights for my family of 5 for this coming August, which includes free checked bags for 4 of us. Since JetBlue is offering a great 60K point credit card, I am thinking of cancelling my card and having my husband apply for the 60K credit card. Since it has a $99 fee, I will consider cancelling my JetBlue cc but am unsure if we will get free checked bags in August since the card won't be valid anymore even though I charged the flights to it? Anyone know?

When does your annual fee get charged? You can wait until that time to cancel the card.

I think your husband’s new card would give you the free bags. I know we got free bags (1 each) when our flights were booked through the chase portal. My husband having the card qualifies us. Didn’t matter that we didn’t pay for the flights with the card.

According to the credit card rules... YOU and up to 3 other people booked on the same reservation with the cardholder paying with the JetBlue card get free bags. When we fist got the card the free bags did not show up so we called and they made a note about the free bags we were never questioned when checking our bags at Disney as this was the tickets were it was not listed and we were never asked to show the card. so long as you have included bags listed on the current reservations I do not think you will have a problem.
