We live outside Richmond VA

We can fly Jet Blue from RIC direct to MCO for a pretty reasonable rate.

Or we can drive to Norfolk ORF or Raleigh RDU to use Southwest. The rates are similar once we use the $25 VISIT FL roundtrip coupon code.

So I guess the question is do we book Southwest hoping to score a better rate later and rebook - or do we just take what is closer to us. We have a trip planned for 8/2011 so using the credit is not a problem.

JetBlue. Closer is better and if rates are around the same cost, that is what I would do.

JetBlue, then stop looking at the fares - on any airline :rotfl:

If you're comfortable paying the current fare, pay the JetBlue fare. If you think you can 'do better' on either airline, wait - but remember it's a gamble. Sure, sometimes fares go down... but more often than not, they go up.

Jetblue.

Do you really want to take the exra drive? How likely is southwest to go down? (not very).

Also, if SW does go down, and you take the credit, you're suck with SW for that next trip, even if SW is quite a bit more.
