Any tips on beating jet lag? flying from London and I am finding it hard to work out a programma of events because of worring if we will be too tired.

Welcome to the Dis! :flower: I'm no expert in jet lag, but some common recommendations are to avoid caffeine and alcohol 48 hours prior to flight, and when you arrive try to immediately force yourself to adapt to the local time zone. I have been to London when I checked into the hotel at 3pm and wanted to go to bed immediately. You have to do something to stay awake until at least an hour or so before your usual bedtime. This may not be too much of a challenge at WDW. Most of us get so excited we can't sleep. :earsboy:

From a very frequent flyer and former European resident:

- avoid fatty foods two days prior to flight. Eat small light meals

- set your clock to your arrival time as soon as you board the plane

- sleep as much as you can - sleeping pills can help, if you can tolerate them

- as soon as you land, adapt to the new time - if it's breakfast time, that means staying up as late as you can, perhaps with a small afternoon nap. If it's dinner time, go to bed a few hours after you land

Unfortunately, it's usually worse coming from Europe to North America, sorry to say! I rarely have jet lag issues now, and just think - you will be waking up early in the morning to start each day at WDW!!

:)

Hope that helps!
