The cushy Song planes were reconsigned to longer flights, so they stopped using them for EastCoast flights (i.e. boston to orlando). I stopped using Song when they got rid of my plane. Went to JetBlue (direct flights only, so far) and have had marvelous luck with them.
Though we were using JetBlue regularly before Song came along, we did use Song out of Boston a few times because the fares were so low and the amenities seemed on par with JetBlue, which in combination probably accounted for Song's demise.
My point was to question why the poster was having what seemed to be a series of service problems with Delta after apparently having none with Song. That just seemed curious to me as there was nothing special about Song's reservation or customer service to differentiate them from the subsidiary's parent company - Delta.
