Jet Blue ?

Spring Break in april in Ma. may be later in 2008 due the MCAS. which is state wide manditory test. . The makeup date which is state wide.. is April 18 which is a friday... That is usually the last day of our vacation but next yr. will be the day we start../end the week whatever.. Im guessing thats why our vacation is later.. Has nothing to do with other NE states.. though.

This is super important information for me, as my DS will be a sophomore next year and the MCAS will COUNT. How did you find out these MCAS dates and please, do you know the dates of the actual testing? I already booked our Delta flight going down on the Wed., so now I"m nervous if he would have to take the makeup!

Im a public school teacher.. The MCAS are April 1 2 3 4 7 18. Some of those are makeup dates... Not sure which ones.. That will be the English Language Arts Portion. If he isnt in school on the 18th and for some reason he had to mae it up, i believe there is a time in may he would be able to.. There are also make up dates in June. Dont stress about it.

That being said.. thats why i have to leave the earliest.. the 18th... I wish we could take off on wed. but even the 18th Im not suppose to do.. I think ill have a dr. apt. that day..(cough cough)

Just watch for those jetblue flights to open, and book them as soon as you can when they come out. My cousin was looking for fares to Orlando for February vacation this past year (which went onsale in August), and when she first looked at it, it was about $50 more than when she booked it six hours later.

So when it's getting close to that release date, start looking it up a couple times a day.

We may try delta on the way down and deal with the layover but coming home I think we may do jetblue so we can get the non-stop.. I couldnt believe when i looked at the fares there wasnt much offered for nonstop...

What are your dates Sue? Ours are April 16th, returning on the 26th. I have no choice to return any other date, as we are going on points and we run out on that Saturday. We're also adding on a few days before that on cash. So the option to stay any later than that is out. Looks like a bunch of us will be watching these rates!

We are leaving on the 16th as well. When I booked, the 17th and 18th were already above $300 Our return date will depend on prices on the return flight as soon as Delta releases them. I'm not waiting for Airtran or JetBlue this time, as I did this year and they were both dissappointing.

For those of you who bought JetBlue tickets last school vacation week out of Logan what did you pay on the Bos/Mco leg of your trip? We are flying out on 4/22/08 (I know its going to be pricier than we normally pay for our last week of April/early May fares but we have annual passes that expire 5/1 and this is best we can do). I will be diligently watching JetBlue and these boards and purchase the moment they come out(unless that darn work thing interferes!!!)I am hoping that since it is a Tuesday and school vacation will have already started maybe the huge rush and fares won't be as bad.

Thank you for those dates. I highly doubt if that 18th is worrisome, I can't believe the actual MCAS would take place the day before vacation starts, hopefully he'll stay healthy for the rest of those dates though!

wow, thats cool! I wonder if we'll see each other at the airport that day! We're on the 3:00 flight.
