Jet Blue seat assignment?

Hi,

Jet Blue is going to start flying out of Boston in Jan 04 and I was just checking out flights for our Sept 04 trip. We usually fly Delta Express now Song from BOS to MCO non-stop.

For Sept 04 we can either use 50,000 skymiles per ticket or right now pay $215per ticket to fly Song or we could book Jet Blue for $175per ticket.

So the difference is $80 and Jet Blue has a 6:30am out of Logan and right now Song's earliest flight out is 8:45am in Sept. Also, the return flight on Jet Blue is 5:25pm where the Song flight is 4:25pm.

So price and times go to Jet Blue.

What about seat assignment? We usually reserve the exit row seats on Song. We are not tall people but we love the extra room of the exit row seats. There does not seem to be a way to reserve seats in advance on the Jet Blue site. How does seating work? Would there be a chance that we could be split up never mind not get the exit row.

If anyone has experiance with how seating on Jet Blue works it would be greatly appriciated.

*After* you purchase your tickets on JetBlue's website, you are taken to a new page where you select your seat assignments. The agent at the airport will confirm those assignments and ask if you'd like to change them, if there's room.
