Jet Blue Schedule

If you are a trueblue member, you will know when the rest of us do. They do tend to email us a few days prior.

JetBlue made the public announcement today (11/4/11) that they will extend their schedule through September 4, 2012, on Sunday Nov. 6th.

I just got the email now! I can't believe I will already be able to buy our Aug 2012 airfare!!!:cool1:

Yep, got the email too! Actually 5 of them for all of the TrueBlue members in our house! I hope the fares are decent. The last release was high and I've yet to buy my April tickets yet.

Do they generally release fares in the morning (before 9)?

Another question: do their opening fares tend to be a bit high, or should I plan to buy on Sunday?

I know my target price: $200 pp round trip from JFK for August. Just curious about whether I can expect to see it on Sunday. I usually don't book till almost New Years for August.

2 years ago when I booked for July, the fare from Boston was $195 per person round trip including all fees when I booked the morning they went on sale in Nov. It would be nice to get close to that on Sunday for our June trip but it will probably be a little more. I did not see it go any lower for my particular flights whenever I happened to check it after that.

When I booked back in April on the day fares were released for our November trip it was the lowest fare. I had been watching for about a month and they came out at the same rates. Within the week they climbed about 25% and never came back down. I checked periodically out of curiosity. Also the flight schedule changed twice during the 6 months to earlier flights by about 3 hours.

If I remember correctly Hartford CT was $127 going down and $94 coming back. I ended up converting Amex miles to JB points and that was 102,000 JB for the 6 of us.

Another hint: I split the reservation into 4 and 2 because there were only a 4 tickets avail at the lowest rate and then I got 2 more at the next level.

Whoaaaa.

Right now I'm looking at $260 pp round trip-- about $60 more than I want to pay--times 5 people.

I'm not buying anything at that price!
