Jet Blue or Southwest?

Hi everyone! We are headed to Disney October 14th for 7 nights at the Poly (7 for 4 Disney Visa deal) followed by the 3 night Wonder cruise. We had flights booked on Jet Blue that left from Boston 10/13 at 7:40pm and got into Orlando at 10:40pm. We were going to stay one night room only at the Poly and be able to have the whole day Thursday at MK before MNSSHP. They changed our flights and now the flight from Boston leaves at 6:30pm-we can not make this flight. Jet Blue said we could switch to the 14th or cancel for a full refund. The flight we could take on the 14th leaves at 10:40am and gets into Orlando at 1:40pm. By the time we get the rental car and check in most of the day is gone. We will have Ultimate Park Hoppers so we miss the whole day of those. We could get into the MK at 4pm anyway with our MNSSHP tickets! Sooooo..... what would you guys do?

1.) Just take the 10:40am Jet Blue flight on the 14th and miss Thursday. (We really only paid for 4 days of UPH's anyway with the 7 for 4 deal.) We also had a $50pp credit with Jet Blue so the flights came to about $325 for 2 with tax.

2.) Cancel the Jet Blue flights and book with Southwest. They have a 10/13 flight that leaves at 8:05pm or a 10/14 that leaves at 8:30am. If we fly in Wednesday night we have to pay for an extra hotel night and extra rental car night BUT we get a full day at WDW on Thursday. The price is $470 witht tax for 2 (they may lower it.) We only gain about 2 extra hours over Jet Blue's flights on the 14th.

They have flights for that time frame at 79.00 each way. That is 158.00 pp rt. Check again.

Gail-the 8:05pm one on the 13th is $79 but the return on 10/24 is still $129. So with the tax it comes to $470. 40 for the both of us. It will probably go down on the 24th but right now it is still more than Jet Blue.

There's always JetBlue's 6:30 AM flight, arriving @9:30 AM. Just go to bed when you were planning on catching the flight, then get up wicked early the next moring

Hahaha. I would be fine doing this flight but DH would be so cranky if he had to get up at 3:30am to make that flight! I would rather the trip get off to a good start

over at a time that is slightly more reasonable, but still catch that super early flight. I don't know what you plans are for transportation to the airport her in MA, but I have read on these boards about some area hotel that will allow you to park your car for your entire trip if you stay the night before. So check in the night before at a time convenient to you, go to bed early and catch the hotel's free shuttle to the airport. With the $$$ you'll be saving by taking advantage of the credit you have with JetBlue and parking for free, the expense of the night's stay may be worth it.

Just an idea...thinking outside the box.
