Jet Blue opening?

The only thing that did not go through, or get charged for, was the travel insurance I picked. I don't really need it, but I always like to get it anyway.

But, it's also possible that in my frustration while booking, I didn't actually pick that option, but it thought I did.

Oh well, I've got my cheap flights and that's all I care about at this point.

My JB charges for February and April vacation weeks all posted overnight. The same flights are over double what I spent on them now! :sad2:

Sorry to all of those who were not able to book through GoogleFlights. I posted here as soon as it went through for me and I got my confirmation. It was very frustrating with all of the issues the site was having on Wednesday. :badpc:

Congrats to all those who got the cheap flights through Google. We were not so fortunate. If airfare - on all airlines - doesn't come down to reasonable levels, we'll likely cancel our Feb cruise.

I am so sorry that things didn't work out for you with airfare. To tell you the truth, we would have been close to $2000 for two adults and a child round trip to Orlando from Syracuse. That would have been the most we had ever paid. Slowly but surely, it's not the Disney prices that are going to keep us away, it's the airfare, and it looks like the dreaded NY to Orlando drive may be soon in my families foreseeable future if this continues. I don't mind paying for services that are worth the money, but over $2000 in flights for the three of us is outrageous.

I sure hope you find something that saves your trip. Fingers crossed.

Thanks. My wife threw out the idea of driving (we're in NYC - a stone's throw from JFK). I seriously doubt I could do it. I think I'd try Amtrak before driving.

We are also going down this Christmas, and roundtrip airfare is $3000 for the 4 of us. So we decided to book the auto train from Lorton, VA. With 2 roomettes and our car going on it was $2,000 roundtrip which also includes meals. So we decided to give it a try! Even though it is an 8 hour drive to Lorton from us we thought it would be a fun adventure! Not to mention no worries about baggage fees and rental car. I have heard the earlier you book the better, I know for the dates we are traveling for in December they have gone up. We have been traveling to Disney for 16 years from Boston and these are by far the most expensive prices I have ever seen! Whatever happened to SW $49 each way? I sure hope the prices drop and you are able to travel.

We went to Orlando for Christmas last year and it only $678 roundtrip for three. I booked on opening day and then booked hotel around those dates. We would not be able to go this year with the prices I think. I have no idea what Jetblue is thinking with theses prices. I think we would also drive if prices were too high.

When I first saw the prices I was thinking about canceling too!! It's ridiculous!!!!

I hope rates come down to reasonable levels for you. SW always has sales.

So sorry to hear that you (as well as the others who posted the same) were not able to get the good rates on Google Flights. If it were not for the low rates we found through Google, we would not have been able to take the trip. We would have had to come up with some sort of driving vacation and Orlando is way too far for us to drive from MA.
