It looks like Jet Blue will be our best bet for a non stop flight (out of Boston). I was thinking of flying into Long Beach instead of LAX, anyone have any advice or opinions on this. Is it an easy airport, a big or small airport. How much will transportation into Anaheim be? Also wondering about food on Jet Blue. It will be a 6 hour+ flight, do they offer food or can we bring our own???

It's a tiny airport. T-I-N-Y. Super easy to get in and out. I'd say go for it! A cab into Anaheim will cost you about $60.

No food on Jet Blue I believe. I'd second the go for it with LB airport though, SUPER easy in and out!!

Always fly Jetblue into LGB :o) Long Beach is an awesome little airport that is quick to get in and out. Security is never busy so the wait isn't ever too long. The airport itself has small little snack/coffee stands throughout, including one outside by the baggage claims. A taxi from LGB to Disneyland is $45 one way.

Jet Blue is an awesome airliner. I love to fly them whenever I travel to California. All seats have TV's in the back of them with FREE cable and radio stations.

Jetblue has unlimited snacks and drinks so you can have as much as you'd like. I'll include their list of snacks/drinks below for you!

Just agreeing with all the other posters. Long Beach is a great airport only about 5 minutes further than Orange County airport. Taxis are a flat rate from the airport - $45 - but metered on the way back so will probably be about $55.

Love LGB...!! Flew in there this summer and if you rent a car is straight shot to Disneyland!! Can't beat it.... we didn't get such a great rate for June so flying into LAX but couldn't beat the overall cost adding rental!! Good luck and have a great time!:goodvibes

We love JetBlue and Long Beach.

We've flown into Orange County (SNA) and Burbank (BUR) and those airports are also very nice - but the cost is a lot higher for us for SNA and the travel time from BUR is awful. We haven't flown into LAX and won't since we can get such good rates with JetBlue and we know how easy it is to get to DLR from LGB.

Car rental is right across a small street and very easy to get to and pretty fast, if you would rather rent a car. Super Shuttle costs more from LGB than SNA, but flat rate taxis work really well - you can even get a van taxi if you need it.

I also prefer Long Beach over LAX but.... it was so much more expensive that we are going to be flying from Boston to LAX. I forget now what the difference per ticket was but I think it was around $50. There are 5 of us so that's $250. Then, the cost of renting a car was significantly more from LBG than from LAX. Total difference was so much that we decided to go to LAX.

I wanted to fly jet blue and the pirce was not bad, I could not find reasonable non-stops from Logan.

Do you have any suggestions for car rentals at Long Beach
I think there is only one car rental place across the street from LGB. It is just as tiny as the airport though, I am not sure how many choices they have.

Long Beach is great to fly in/out of, but it is very small, so getting there an hour before your flight is BORING, but better safe than sorry. As the PP said, flat rate to DL hotels, $45. They wanted to meter on the way back to the airport but DH negotiated with the driver and got a flat rate back as well, good thing because traffic was really slow.

Car Rental companies at LGB - Avis, Hertz, National, Budget, Alamo and Enterprise.

We've used Enterprise before with a coupon code (last May) and it was very easy to get the car.

Another fan of LGB and Jetblue! :thumbsup2 We are a party of 8 and we just take a shuttle like Primetime or Supershuttles. They are right across the street. :)

We are using Priceline for a rental. Got a full-size for 14days for $19/day. I thought it was a great deal. Airfare only $199/ea total (incl taxes and fees) rt from Portland Oregon.

Yes. The only catch is you pay right away and you can't change it unless your flight is majorly delayed or canceled. So you are locked in. We figure we saved over $100 this way.

Love JetBlue and LGB. We've used the Alamo and the Budget, and both were nice. The car rental is so easy to get to, right out of the airport and across the street. I honestly don't think I could go back to not using LGB, it is just so small and so very easy.

This trip we will be using the Primetime shuttle, unless we can get a decent car rental price in the next three weeks. I hope it's as easy as the car rentals to find! :goodvibes
