Jet Blue/Lap Infant/Resort Airline Check-in

I called DME and they didn't really know the answer to this. I suspect if I call Jet Blue, they won't really know either - can't say that I blame them b/c this probably affects about .001% of the people who fly Jet Blue. Hoping someone here can answer this . . .

First, when flying with a lap infant, have you been able to use the Resort Airline Check-in at WDW? My BIL was not able to but this was 4 years ago. DME insists that it didn't have anything to do with the lap infant but he distinctly remembers being told that it did. . . If you weren't able to, were other members of your party allowed to check-in at the resort, and one person checked in at the airport?

The reason I'm asking is because we are traveling with 3 bags that we need to check (and three ticketed passengers). We're considering paying the extra bag fee on the way home to check two bags with one person if someone is not allowed to check in at the resort with a lap infant. But, we need to pay the bag fee before attempting resort check-in, so we don't want to waste the time waiting for resort check-in, finding out one adult cannot check in b/c of the lap infant, calling Jet Blue, sorting everything out, etc. etc.

I don't know anything about the process for Resort Check-in, but I do know that when you are traveling with a lap infant that the person who is ticketed with the child has to check in at the airport.

My daughter(s) have used RAC many times checking in with a lap baby. They have not had any problem whatsoever....BUT, you still need to stop by the JB counter and they will have to print you a lapbaby boarding pass. At least this was how it was last year. However, my oldest daughter flew JB in November with a lapbaby and when checking in ONLINE at home the JB website actually printed 3 boarding passes for them to include a lap baby boarding pass....that was a first. Because they had an early flight home after the trip, they did not using RAC for their flight home and just checked in at the counter. The bottom line is is that yes you can use RAC, but you may still have to stop by the counter at MCO and get a boarding pass for the lapbaby if one does not print out. So you can get rid of the luggage at least.
