Would you call them up to get credit for $8.80? My flight went down from 99 one way to 97 dollars and with two of us going the difference round trip is $8.80. Should I call them?
I wouldn't. For the amount of time you spend on the phone and for the time it takes the agent to reassign your seats, to me it's just not worth it. I did however call last month and got an $180 credit for us in April!
If you are a Jetblue Trueblue member and used the Jetblue CC, I would not get the credit for $8 because it will effect the Trueblue points you will earn for the flight.
LOL, I called for a $10 credit with them ($5 per ticket, 2 of us travelling). To me $10 is $10 and I'm home during the day so a 15 minute phone call wasn't really a big deal.

You are lucky. There are 4 of us and I usually end up with someone who has a problem with their system and needs to speak to a supervisor. Every time I call to get a credit, I reserve at least a half hour. One time it took 55 minutes. Then they gave up my seats and I did not realize it until a few days later. That experience saved me $40 but so not worth it with respect to my time. But I must confess; it has not stopped me. I called the other day for a $60 credit.
I think I called 4x for my last trip.. we have 9 of us.. so every little bit added up we paid $300 for our tickets and ended up with about $1500 in credit when all said and done.. it's worth it..
A few things I've learned... always check your seats after calling for a credit
AND
Ask for the credit to be put in one travel bank if they tell you no asked for a supervisor.. you will have the hardest time trying to book using the credits if they are not all in one travel bank.. they are transferable which is great but it's nearly impossible to book with them...1 travel bank per reservation...
