Jet Blue April Fares?

Nope. Their reps don't know any sooner than we do. That said, the woman I spoke to yesterday said "about" six month in advance.

I'm waiting for April too. I check their website every day, several times a day. My DH called them last week and they said the next batch of dates should be released very soon, but they didn't know if April would be included in that batch. I sure hope so.

I went to Kayak's website and found my dates for April on Jet Blue (on JB's website, they're still only booking up until Jan 8, 2007). However, the fares are $617 from BOS to MCO! It is school vacation week, but I didn't think it would cost that much. I have no idea what to do!

I want that week too, but not at $542 a piece! :scared1: I bet Jetblue will be releasing any day since they are on Kayak now.

I always pulled my dd out of school for family vacations, but now that she is going into 6th grade, I am hesitant to do it. She is a straight A student, and her teachers/principal approved all prior trips, but now, with her going into middle school next year, I am not so sure. The downside to this is that now we have to go during prime time :sad2: . I am looking everyday for fares too and hope to see them at a halfway decent price (fingers crossed). We have a credit on delta, but will probably not use them because of all the problems we had it the past with them. So like you all, I am waiting, sometimes impatiently for those april fares lol!

I just bought our February JetBlue fares. The rep on the phone expected that they were loading the fares thru April 16 right now, which is why they are showing up on www.kayak.com and www.sidestep.com, but not yet on the JetBlue website.

I bought ours thru a search on Kayak, which of course connected me back to the JetBlue website. If I had searched on JetBLue directly, they would not show up yet (possibly bcs they are still loading them on).

So Heads-Up! Fares are out at least thru February, but only on the the search sites like Kayak and Sidestep! You heard it here first!

Good luck all!

Just curious, did you buy them for the school vacation week? I searched for Feb and April school vacation weeks and the tickets were over $500 a piece! Yikes!

Interesting. I have wondered why these fares show up on kayak.com before the JetBlue website.

However, the fares are $617 from BOS to MCO!

That is ridiculously high. I'd just sit back and wait to book these.

When I first saw them, I was seeing $437 r-t n-s BOS-MCO. It looks like they are up to $617 now. Boy what a difference a few hours make!

We grabbed our using frequent flyer miles, except for 2 of the 4 return flights. Since we're doing Vero the last weekend of the trip, we'd prefer to fly out of West Palm (PBI). PBI-BOS non-stop one-way ran us $307.80 each. It's nice that we only had to buy two tix.

So no bargains for February vacation. Perhaps for off-times it'll be OK, but high volume times are gonna be pricy.

Good luck all!

They always show up on Kayak 1-2 days before they do on the JetBlue site, but you can buy them through Kayak or call JetBlue directly. However, for over $600 (which is what they're showing me for Bos-Mco), I would wait a few days. They will fall. Especially because the week I'm looking at shows Delta in the $300 range. JB will lower theirs. They won't let Delta be cheaper.

Waiting right there with you! I have already booked our rooms as this year I waited too long and didn't get quite what we wanted.

I REALLY miss Delta's SONG airline! They had good rates and direct flights to Orlando from Boston. June of 2005 I bought (on-line) tickets for April 2006. Instead of going sat - sun like we usually do, we went tues - tues and saved $1200 between the 4 of us! Not seeing ANYTHING like that now, no matter how I fudge the dates. Blah.............:(

First of all, thank you to pumpkinboy for the info about checking Kayak. I did that yesterday and saw that JetBlue's fares were on Kayak's website (but not on JetBlue's website).

We were planning to travel from BOS to MCO on April 14 (Sat) and return on April 21 (Sat). However, at $617 per person, we had to come up with a new plan. We ended up booking April 16-23 (Mon-Mon). The kids will miss one day of school, but I don't mind. The fare we got was $327 per person. This is still more than I ever paid, but I knew we'd pay more during school vacation week.

This was probably unnecessary. You should have just waited until prices dropped (and they will). April is a LONG way off, no need to rush and buy tickets in July.

Also, you can get a much cheaper fare right now, just searching for other airlines rather than JetBlue. Delta has a nonstop from BOS-MCO for the dates you wanted at $302 RT.

You're right - it's true that the prices may go down, but then again, they may not. We weren't willing to take a chance, so we found dates and a price we could live with.

As for other airlines, unfortunately not all airlines are an option for us due to DD's peanut allergies. Both Delta and SW serve peanuts and we're not comfortable flying those airlines. JetBlue and Delta are the only ones showing nonstop flights from BOS to MCO, and since Delta isn't an option, we're going with JetBlue.

You can always get a credit from JB, too, if the prices go down after you've already bought your tickets.

Good point. If the price goes down and we get a credit, then we just might be "forced" to go to WDW again in 2007. That certainly wouldn't be terrible! :)

They seem to have not set their prices yet because the same dates that yesterday were $617 are today $400-something (didn't write it down.) I almost wish I didn't know about Kayak - it's aggravating me.

I wasn't expecting the dates to be released this far in advance. I kind of hope April isn't included in the next roll out - gives me more time to figure things out.

Yes, it does look like those flights that started at $450ish Sunday afternoon and went up to $617 Sunday evening have now notched down to $482. It's still a nit rich for my blood, so I'm glad we got most of the tix with Frequent Flyer miles. But we got ideal times, and we get to fly into MCO and back from PBI which is preferable for us.

Laghinplace199, wow, what a great fare for April school vacation week! Well done. I'd have jumped on that fare too, bcs I am certain that fares are not going to be as cheap as they have been in the past. And if fares do go down significantly, you can get a credit form JetBlue.

Our one-way back from PBI-BOS is still at the $308 rate we paid, tho the late flight is down to $233; but that flight gets in just way too late for a school night. It would be nice if the price goes down and we can get a credit, but I am not expecting that for February school vacation.

Yes, we're happy with the fare we got, even if the kids have to miss a day of school (they don't mind). I owe you a big thank you for the Kayak info. I never would have known to check Kayak. I was only checking JetBlue's website, so "Thanks"!

I'm glad you got the flights you wanted for Feb. vacation. Now we can just sit back and watch to see if the fares go lower (not likely, but one can hope). I'm sure I could find a way to put a credit to good use.
