Jesus loves you over MK

Of course, we could all judge others on how they spend their money. I could say that all of you who visit WDW could benefit some poor person if you used your money that way instead of making a trip to WDW. We choose to use our money the way we see fit. Maybe the guy thinks he will convert someone. Maybe he doesn't, but just feels the need to say it. It isn't our call to decide how he should spend his money.

We saw the skywriting at WDW last month. I don't remember what it said, but I took a pic of the smiley face:

I think we were there the same day!!! I remember seeing that over Epcot. IIRC, it said "God = :) ". Kinda peeved me off a teensy bit (I had been hoping to avoid him lol), but I survived and moved on. :)

I think we were at Epcot (that looks like a monorail track). I guess I didn't pay much attention to the message; I just thought the smiley was kinda neat! :thumbsup2

One wonders if you would have the same sentiment to a message that didn't specifically mention Christianity. I doubt "Allah Loves You" would evoke the same response from you.

I also doubt "Allah Loves You" would also evoke the same response from you! :rolleyes1

I wasn't aware you were having a "private" discussion. It was a legitimate question. You can choose to answer it or ignore it.

It wasn't a private conversation, but rather a public discussion of a specific comment Fitswimmer made. You're welcome to join in.

Of course I am, we both are. We're just judging them differently.

If I were in his financial position, I would not be spending all that money on a plane. I'd be using that money to benefit people in more practical ways. The way I interpret the NT, Jesus didn't tell me to spend money writing His name in the sky. He told me that I would be judged based on how I treated others-I'm sure you know the parable of the Sheep and the Goats.

This is what upsets me too. All that money..Practice what you preach. If you want to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, feed the poor. don't blow smoke over Orlando.

by now I would have thought the guy would have realized if God wanted the message to spread, it wouldn't blow away in ten minutes.

*sigh*

:thumbsup2 :rotfl:

And ftr, I thought the smiley was cute too! :) I think I was just sorta tired/cranky that morning (the joys of getting to the parks for rope drop lol!).

the first time we saw the smiley was somewhere in Animal Kingdom. people were pointing up at the sky and wondering WTH it was. so much for getting the word out.

Do you think telling people "Jesus loves you" is fullfilling this scripture:

Mark 16

15He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.

In addition, I believe this passage is pertinent to your post.

Matthew 26

6While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, 7a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
8When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. 9"This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."
10Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.
12When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."

How do you know that he doesn't spend his money in other ways to benefit people? I like the message. It's like anything else, if you don't like it, turn away.
BTW, God and Allah are the same, so if someone wants to skywrite that, cool. Buddha,Krishna, I'll take the love from anyone's God.

Well done! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I saw him twice on our trip to WDW.

As a Christian,if I was having a bad day and I saw "Jesus loves you"writen in the sky, it would make me feel better.
Seeing the writing in the sky made my family smile.

If someone else wrote allah loves you in the sky it wouldnt bother me at all.I think as long as the person isnt writing something hateful then whats the harm.
