Jessica Lunsford's Murderer Has Died In Prison

John Cooey (spelling?) died of cancer in prison today. Good riddance and it saved the taxpayers some money.

Ohh, I hope like mad that he suffered for a long time before he died, and I *truly* hope he's finding it a bit too warm where he is now. I remember reading about that and sobbing... Jessica was almost exactly the same age as my daughter when this happened; it scared me as well as saddened me to no end.

Nothing is too bad for that person. Good riddance.

I'm sure the time he did serve IF he was in with the general population was slow and painful as well. Sometimes that is the best/only justice.

I'm not sure how her family feels about this news but I hope it brings them even an ounce of comfort knowing he is burning in hell.

The only thing that would have made this any better is if he was really suffering bad from the cancer, then had another inmate beat him so bad that he lingered for days and died of combined injuries.

There has never been a child abduction/murder case EVER that haunted me like this one. To think of her buried alive, suffocating while she clutched her stuffed animal...it literally turns my stomach to think of that poor helpless terrified child. I've never felt sick to my stomach like I did watching this on TV. He was evil, plain & simple & deserved to be tortured like she did. The only good thing about his death is that, like someone else said, the taxpayers aren't paying to feed, house & clothe him anymore. He should have been buried alive if you ask me. Good riddance!

I 100% agree with all that has been said here as well. If one of us is going to hell for feeling this way, we'll all be together. I just hope this brings at least a little peace to her father.
