Jersey Week?

Sorry.....off topic.
Jersey Girl.......You may find that it is a very small world on the DIS. In posting and reading, I found a bunch of people from our area and actually 3 people I know........one conversation started with living in Hazlet, then going to Raritan, and then even graduating the same year. That was weird! There's probably more that I just don't know about. Hey....I was born in 70 also! Jim

It's a very small world here in New Jersey. I'm at Exit 105 (actually, I'm two blocks from the beach, nowhere near the exit!). I was, however, born long before 1970! I've never met another NJ DIS'er!

I'm exit 123, but I go to exit 105 since I go to Monmouth! :wave2:

Here in Maryland schools dismiss early on 11/2 and schools are closed 11/3, 11/6 and 11/7. My kids will only miss school on Thurs.

Hi.
We live near Hershey PA.
Our schools are closed 11/8, 11/9 and 11/10 for kindergarten and 11/9 and 11/10 for the rest of the schools. This is for teacher conferences.

We arrive WDW on 11/10!!

With so many states all over with school closed for some days that week, it makes the "Jersey Week" name a misnomer nowadays! It isn't just the Jerseyans filling up the parks! The week is ideal for many kids from all over to go to Disney, since few school days will be missed. :)

HI,

I am From Connecticut we are off 11/6, 11/7. and 11/10. My kids we will missing 2 days of school next week. We are coming in late on 11/3/06 and will be leaving on Thursday 11/9/06 for dcl until the 12th.  ..

I thought it was more than Jersey - It should be called "NE Week" :teeth:

Hey, you New Yorkers took our Statue of Liberty, and now you are trying to take our week in Disney??? :rotfl2:

Not this NYer - I live in Western NY & we never had any of Nov. off except Veteren's Day & Thanksgiving.I wish my son had had the time off, we wouldn't have been doing homework in WDW back then. I was actually surprised on our first Jersey Week trip that there were so many other states that had time off Election week.

I think you Jerseyites are onto something good tho! :thumbsup2

Philly checkin' in here! We're heading down on 11/5 and not coming back until 11/12! Didn't know we were going during Jersey Week, but when we found out we figured it'll feel even more like a family vacation that way! (Everyone from Philly goes down the shore for a week in summer.) :beach:

P.S. Anyone who hasn't tried Jersey corn is really missing out. Its so tender and sweet you can eat it raw!
