I noticed no free DDP for jersey week 11/05/2016. I know promotions are offered to get people into the parks. Is Jersey week that crowded where they don't need to offer the promotions. I was never there that week so just wondering on crowd sizes.

It's crazy crowded. in addition to jersey week it's food n wine.

My sister goes during jersey week every year. Flights are oftentimes $600 when normally its $300. It's as if anyone with kids and dvc from jersey goes to Disney that week.

And we like to eat and drink. Late. Early. All the time. I live in one of the most sparsely populated counties in NJ. All I see are DVC magnets here. We talk loud, walk fast and discipline our children even on vacation. It's a scary time at Disneyworld, unless you are from NJ. If you are, it's a very relaxing week.

Free dining is just to fill empty rooms. They don't have empty rooms to fill at that time.

It's not crazy crowded at all, in fact it is very manageable. We have gone 3 times in the last 5 years during Jersey week and have not paid more than $200-$250 per person round trip including bags out of Atlantic City .

Jersey week is usually blocked out for free DDP, last year I was able to get it by arriving on October 31 for our stay. But this year it falls later in the month and they blocked out even more dates for free dining.

Right now the only thing out of Philly nonstop and at decent times is American Airlines at 550 dollars round trip. The merger is affecting all fares in Philly. Spirit is cheaper but there is a 2 1/2 hour lay over in Atlanta both ways with an 80 year old mom with bad knees and a 7 year old thats not happening. There is a cheaper nonstop out of AC but with all the baggage fees and the hour drive I'm not saving that much to make it worth it. So now I wait till Southwest releases dates in May for my week. PHL is only 10 minutes away so thats my best option. Thanks for all your responses I appreciate it.

My sister lives in north jersey. Atlantic city is appx 2.5hrs away for her, not accounting for traffic. She flies out of Newark. The prices were $600rt out of Newark airport.

Jersey week was so crowded two years ago, my siblings got a ticket refund from a CM due to the drunken riffraff (so they were dubbed) and just went back to the resort.

The fact that their party of 4 recieved a "refunded" entry ticket meant that the CM agreed. My sibling said it was so crowded they literally had a hard time exiting the park.

I'm just stating that out of the last 5 years, I've been there 3 times and it has been very manageable. Far better than summer or holiday crowds. And maybe your sister paid $600 a person round trip, but even airfare right now out of Newark is under $250 per person.
I just want to give anybody looking to go during that week a second point of view, from my own personal experience. Living in Jersey and only having a few options on times to go I would pick Early November over summertime crowds every time.

My sister went last year, the flights out of PHL were very expensive, but she and her group, 9 in all, ages 2 to 70 had a wonderful time! One adult is a NJ teacher and was taking advantage of the time off!

We went during Jersey Week many times - for 12 years in a row until my son went off to college and we couldn't take advantage of that week any more. Yes, somewhere along the way the airlines wised up and jacked up the fares. However, I was usually able to secure reasonable fares by flying Southwest out of PHL. I generally purchased tickets as soon as the schedules opened. Even that has become trickier since SWA's recent merger, as they've reduced the number of non-stop flights out of PHL. However, SWA just started flying to MCO from Newark, so you may have luck on that front. No doubt about it... when it comes to Jersey Week flights, you have to plan far in advance and be flexible.

That being said, we absolutely LOVED visiting that time of year! Crowds are robust but very manageable, and the weather is usually gorgeous. Depending on your trip dates, you can also enjoy the F&W festival and the Halloween or Christmas party, which are both fabulous! It's quite magical to arrive with the parks decorated for Fall, and then leave when they're decorated for the holidays, as the transformation often occurs that week! If you can find decent airfare, I wouldn't shy about from Jersey Week at all. It really is a fantastic time at WDW!!!

We were there last year (another state but kids also having a couple days off that week) and I thought it was fine. We didn't have any problems with crowds or otherwise except EPCOT but we were there the night Boyz II Men were playing and it was crazy around that area! This year that week is also the week following the Food & Wine Half Marathon so that could have a factor in the promotions (or lack thereof) as well.

The only problems we experienced were Dining Reservations. Book as early as you can. The parks were crowded, but not "Summer" crowded. It gets more busy as the week goes on, Th,F,Sa.
