Jerod & Rebecca's Fairytale Wisconsin Wedding 9/22/12

I like them! Depending on your budget, this could be a way to have cut costs and put them into something you'd enjoy doing on your honeymoon. If that's the case, I'd say keep them! If cost is no problem, then I'd say get what you originally wanted :)

Technically we could afford the $300 but it is a great idea to use the extra money on the honeymoon. We really want to go to Hawaii and since we dropping all our money in the wedding not sure if it will happen!!! So that is a brilliant idea!!

I think they're really nice--- especially for the price! I would say keep them. :)

Thanks!! I thought they were nice but needed other opinion besides DF who thinks the cheapest pardon me most inexpensive version is always best.

Those are great!

Really cute!

I was in a similar situation - I fell in love with these invites that would have been about $1,500 for 100 :scared1: I ended up finding some on clearance at Michael's for $15 for 100.

My mom pointed out, that although I was obsessing over them, essentially they would be trash for most people within 6 months. I know that sounds rude - but it's true.

If you're not super thrilled with them (but IMO they're really pretty!) you could jazz them up cheaply.

We took some vellum and folded it over our invites to make them seem less "print your own" and honestly - a year later, I had to go back to my online album to remember what they looked like.

Those look Cinderella-y to begin with and you could easily add your own Cinderella-ness for WAY less than $300.

Like what about a vellum sheet with a printed Cinderella carriage emblem on it and hole punching the invites and fastening it with a ribbon?

Or even just printing a Cinderella Emblem on the envelope.

But then again, I like them by themselves too. Wow. That was a whole lot of nothing.:goodvibes

$1500 for 100????:scared1: That is crazy!! I love your idea of jazzing them up. Thanks for the vellum idea I hadn't even thought of that. Did you just get the vellum at Michael's? I will have to see what I come up with to jazz them up.

Is the sapphire collection one? If so, we are dress twins! And I also have a 5month old puppy named Bella! (she's a yorkie though)

Yes it is from the Sapphire collection. Isn't it a small world!! I bet your Bella is just adorable. I am going to head right over to your PJ and check it out!!

I think they're really pretty! And I agree with the above poster - you could add Cinderella elements to it, either by printing perhaps the carriage on the top or adding some sort of charm or attachment.

Thanks!! I think I am going to see what I can come with to make more Cinderella-y.

I think that the invites are really pretty (and you got a great deal too!) but I would make sure that you are completely happy with your decision to use them - you don't want to feel any 'regrets' about it later. If budget is the issue, I think that those invites are great, and maybe you could find some small way to incorporate Cinderella (such as embossing a small stamp of the carriage at the top with a gold embossing powder). This would allow you to save money and still get the Cinderella invites that you want. And I think that heat embossing is beautiful too! Good luck with whatever you choose!

I think the invites are wonderful! They are the perfect color and match your wedding so well. I'm with the other poster...if you can find invitations that you like at a super reasonable price, that is the perfect place to save money as 99% of all invitations end up in the trash.

If you wanted to glam them up a little, see if you can find a printer in your area that does letterpress printing and get a price quote. I would still say, print them yourself if you have a decent printer and put the money into something else like favors for your guests, flowers, lighting, etc. A good lighting company can really make your wedding AMAZING! Look at A&W's (I think her DISname is Safflower) pj and find the video she posted. It is amazing how much better her reception was thanks to colored uplights and pin lights on her centerpeices. The lighting really helped set the mood!

That was DF's big thing the invites are going to end up in the trash and everyone is right about that!! I have been thinking of using my castle punch and adding one to bottom either in sage or orange and then adding some rhinestones. I have totally been obsessed with uplighting lately so I think I am going to talk DF into this. It can really set up the room!!!!

Your invites look great, I love the scrolling on the sides, it looks really elegant :thumbsup2

So sorry I have been such a bad disbride!!! I have been so busy with life. I hate when it gets in the way of my plans!!!

I have a lot to update but our camera just broke and I lost all of my pictures. I won't be able to post pictures until we get a new camera. DF wants a Nikon. Does anyone have any suggestions on cameras? We would like one that really zooms.

Hopefully we will have a camera soon and I can let you guys know all of things I have done.

It's ok, I feel like I never post on mine anymore. :rotfl: I can't wait to hear your news. I don't know much about cameras, so I can't help much, but I have had my kodak digital since '06 and it's stuck by me this far! haha

So still no camera... I am getting really impatient I want to show everyone what I have!!! But DF aka Bean insists on doing all this research on which camera to buy. I understand this but it is taking him forever!!! Hopefully this weekend we will have purchased a camera.

So I figured I would post the save the dates that I designed on mixbook.

What do you girls think? I didn't want the back to be just white so I added the saying. Do you think it is cheesy? Hopefully I will have more to post soon!!!

So we still don't have a camera(man I sound like a broken record). DF can't make up his mind!!!! I thought I would post what I can without a camera. So here is my guestbook. I made it at mixbook.

Hey Rebecca!
Just followed you from my PJ-
Idk what your talking about, you seem to have a lot of DIY goodies!!!! Your centerpieces are lovely & everything just goes together so nicely. I love your logo- your e-pics are also beautiful & your mixbook!!!!!

Will definitely be following along. :)

omg! i LOVE your book!! it looks absolutely amazing!!! i followed you over here from my pj :) i want to read thru the whole thing at work tomorrow!! can't wait!!

I purchased our Champagne flutes, cake server set, and cake server. It is from the WDCC Cinderella romance collection. They were sold out for the flutes and server on the disney website and I began to panic. It all worked out. I found the flutes on ebay and the seller put our names and wedding date on them for no charge. I actually got them cheaper than at disney. The server set I had to order from a different website and was a little nervous I wouldn't get it but it was ok. The cake topper I found on amazon for a little less than on disney.

I also picked up the card box and unity candle holder. I am going to jazz them up some. I have already put ribbon around the card box but am thinking of using my cricut to make a carriage to go on the front as well. What do you girls think?

So I have had my favor boxes forever but haven't posted them yet.

We have a dilemma... I originally wanted to get the Disney wedding M&Ms but DF says they are too expensive. I have agreed to compromise and thought of putting our favorite candies inside. So I was think Starbursts(my favorite) and mini snickers(his favorite). Is this a stupid idea? Do you think the M&M's would be better. I don't want to put anything to fantastic in them because DF's family has this thing with taking all the candy at weddings. I have warned them that if I see any of this I will be breaking arms in my wedding dress and all!!!!

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

I love your mixbook! The more I see them, the more I think I am going to have to make one.

As for the candy, I love your idea of using your favorite candy and making it a little more personal. You can even add a little note to the carriage explaining it's significance. And if you buy the candy during easter season next year, you'll save tons of money! :thumbsup2

Your save the dates and guestbook look great! I do love MixBook now. And I think it looks good with the quote on the back, I like that better than leaving it plain. Your flutes and cake server set are gorgeous, and I love the cake topper :)

As for the candy, I think it's perfectly fine to put in your favorites! As cute as the Disney M&M's are, they're definitely expensive - and let's face it, many people will just scarf them down without even looking at them! Your idea is more meaningful, and I like Mindy's suggestion of adding an explanation of why you chose those candies! :goodvibes
