Jerod & Rebecca's Fairytale Wisconsin Wedding 9/22/12

Just wanted to say HI! I've been stalking the boards for a while and not posting, but I wanted to tell you I stopped by and read everything!! It looks great. I LOVE the centerpieces! And I LOVE Dolly's designs too. Where was she when I was planning my VR? LOL!

I can't wait to read more. Wish I lived closer. It would be fun to do pics for you guys. I hope work doesn't keep you away for too long.

Thanks so much for following along CinderelliT!!!

I am so sorry everyone that I have been MIA lately. I hope to get back to posting in the next couple of weeks. We have a pretty trying holiday. Right before Thanksgiving my dog Gizmo got really sick. He is in the final stage of liver failure and will not be around very much longer. This is extremely hard for us as he is our first dog together and especially hard for me because he is such a mama boy. I have pretty depressed and not doing much of anything with the wedding. Hopefully i will bounce back once it is all over but until then I don't do much of anything but hang with Gizmo. It probably sounds stupid but I look at my dogs as my kids. Obviously I realize they aren't human. Again I apologize I do have some updates as soon as this all is over.

Sorry to ramble so much about such a depressing matter!! Hope everyone is well and had a Happy Holidays!!!

So for the ceremony I want to keep it pretty simple. Since it is not a traditional church we have to set up the rows of chairs. I would like a aisle runner with our monogram on it and flower petals down the sides. I am going to have pew bows on every third row of chairs with a little cone shaped thing with a little bouquet of sunrise roses(I will be making the cone things out of wallpaper and spray painting them silver). Then we will have a wedding arch that I will decorate myself. I am also making our programs, a little pouch with a kleenex in it, and rose petal pouches to throw during the recessional. I am still working on that with the cricut and haven't gotten the spacing down yet.

I have made one centerpiece already.

It amazes me how creative everyone is here on these boards! These centerpieces are wonderful!!

So sorry to hear about Gizmo. I'm glad that you get to spend time with him. Pets are such a wonderful part of our lives...they are definitely like our children as much as we care and love for them.

We look forward to seeing your DIY projects when you are able to return to the Boards.

I love the centerpieces, they will look fantastic!

And Dolly, your logos are absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks everyone for the centerpiece love. It really was all my aunt she used to be a florist so she showed me how to make them. I think they turned out quite well.

Dolly thank you for the kind words. You are definitely right pets are so much a part of your life and it is hard to let them go but sometimes it is for the best. We had to put Gizmo to sleep last Monday but it was time and now I will just remember all the good times I had with him. I am doing ok though.

The next post will finally be some wedding info!!

So sorry to hear about Gizmo!

On a lighter note, I am loving your ideas so far, and I can't wait to see what else you come up with! I am also an at-home Disney bride, so I love to see what others come up with!

So I am back and ready to post some updates on the wedding. Back in October we had our engagement pictures taken. Naturally I thought it would be chilly in October in Wisconsin BUT it happened to be about 80 degrees that day. I had gotten DF a really cute brown and green argyle sweater but we had to change plans as he is quite the sweat box and just had visions of dripping sweat. So we went with a brown polo. All in all I think they turned out pretty well and couldn't ask for a more beautiful day!!

I have also made my rose petal toss containers. They are all completed. My idea is that the containers will be on the wedding aisle and during the recessional people will throw them as we walk out of the ceremony. I hope it all goes to plan.

My colors are sage, orange, and silver so I used silver ribbon on all of them and then alternated orange and sage on the tags.

I am also in the process of making my tears of joy envelopes.

I haven't made the stickers yet but they will say Tears of Joy Rebecca & Jerod 9/22/12. They will go on the back where the flap of the envelope is to keep the flap down and cover where the ribbon meets.

I also received our window cling. I had been looking at the dance floor decals that are out there but they were either to expensive or not the look I was going for. So one day I received a coupon code for a free window cling from Walgreens. I figured it would work because the floor is hard wood and this would stick but not hurt the floor. I used Dolly's beautiful monogram.

I have also been totally obsessed with charger plates for the reception. I originally wanted silver and could buy them for $2 a piece. I couldn't find anywhere close that could rent them for less than that. Well the other day DF was at Walmart of all places and came across these babies.

They are even better than the silver. This will give more contrast on the table with a white table cloth and white plate. Plus we are having a Cinderella themed wedding but with fall accents. So it worked out perfectly and we ended up getting them for 50 cents a piece.

In non-wedding news we got a new Shih Tzu puppy and she is adorable. She is almost 5 months old and is potty trained already. I miss Gizmo terribly but she helps fill the void.

Her name is Bella!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Aww such a cute puppy!!
And the engagement pics look wonderful! As well as everything youve done so far! Love the color scheme you're going with!!

Love the new post!! That window cling is an awesome idea!! I also love the tear packets and recessional petals!! Are you using real petals?

Awww Bella is adorable! :goodvibes

Thanks girls!!! Bella is a doll. She has been so good so far that I don't want to jinx it!!!

I am actually using artificial petals for the rose petal containers but have been reconsidering. In the box now is orange and ivory artificial rose petals.

So I have been looking all over for bright blue flats and I have found the perfect shoes....

I am going to add some sparkle along the edge of shoes. I am going to order the shoes this week and hopefully start on adding the pizzazz as soon as I get them. I will post pics when I start.

Thanks so much. I need to catch up on your PJ but from what I read your wedding is going to be pretty spectacular.

Please bare with me I don't know how to quote more than one person in a quote so I have to do it separately. If anyone can let me know how to do it it would be much appreciated!!
