  • Yelling At A CM

  • Jumping From A Moving Ride

  • Flash Photography On A Dark Ride

  • Abusing The Refillable Mug

  • Pool-Hopping

  • Carrying Your ECV Onto A Bus While 20 Of Your Family Members Climb On The Bus Behind You

We rode the boat from Wilderness Lodge and a baby screamed the whole way to Magic Kingdom. The parents did nothing to sooth her or quiet her. It was awful for us and the kid. The parents just laughed.

Hahah this is a funny thread. I am glad Yelling at a CM is winning. No one should ever yell at someone that is just doing their job!

I agree with all the above post, jumping the really gets to me. Parents who stay out too late with their young children, and you can see the child is so tired and should be home in bed.

I had to vote for jumping off a moving ride just because it holds up the ride... And if I have to get stuck on Small World, that right there qualifies instantly to me as the jerkiest thing you can do to me at WDW :rotfl:

I think the jerkiest thing I've ever seen was I was getting my photo taken in front of the castle and a family came over and literally (and quite forcefully) pushed me over. They just wanted to get their photo taken and I was just in their way. No excuse me, nothing.

But yelling at a CM is definitely not cool.

When my son was 1 1/2 he was crying on the bus. At that time, he was still nursing to sleep at nap time, which it was but I was tightly crammed between a post and a boy who was maybe about 11- so I was too embarrassed to feed him there. Pretty much the entire bus started up a conversation about how we were terrible parents for letting our child cry on the bus. I was talking to him, doing all the standard fidget, "shhh", try to comfort a kid short of nursing him I could do.

The biggest jerks were the family sitting by DH at the front of the bus, loudly proclaiming to their kids that they never cried in public as babies because they were too good of parents to allow that.
I get it was annoying, but seriously?!? I was crying by the time we got off the bus I was so upset and these people just kept going, insulting me openly as if I wasn't there.

My biggest jerks at the patrons who somehow truly believe they are better than anybody else.

Jumping off a moving ride would probably be the jerkiest, but it happens far less often than line jumping.

It's funny though... if you jump off a moving ride the cm's and everyone else are all over that whereas if you line jump not a single disney employee will so much as blink an eye! Thats why it's the jerkiest, people do it with impunity. It's also one of the biggest acts of entitlement imo. :snooty:

We play the "MAgical Meltdown" game. First one to spot a child or parents having one wins! At the end of the day, the person who spotted the most AWESOME of meltdowns gets a foot rub.

Totally stealing your idea!!! My husband and I are on board! We are playing this game when we go next month!!!

Line cutting, photo bombing and flash photography are the worst!

Line cutting is for sure annoying (I tend to not really care unless it's more than one), and photo bombing can be funny depending on the situation. When it comes to flash photography I must admit... though I have never done it I have been VERY tempted to use my flash (or a flashlight!) when you get to the top of Spaceship Earth. I'm DYING to know if that little mini city is still there in the dark!! :scratchin

People who use an ECV when they don't need it (lazy or line cutting.)

I checked the "not giving up your seat" first. That was my biggest peeve when we went down a few years ago. DD was 4, and we rode the bus daily from Pop to our resorts. By the end of the day, she was so tired she'd fall asleep on the bus...when she got to sit down. I was amazed at how many people wouldn't stand up to let a child sit down. I'm old enough to know how to brace my legs and use my muscles to keep from flying around the bus when the driver turns/brakes- a four year old isn't! I'm grateful to the people who stood so she could sit, or the parents that made their children scoot over and the kids shared seats!
I understand people may be hurting and you can't judge them by their outward appearances only, but surely not every adult on that bus was unable to stand.

This is a hot-button issue around these here parts. Some people think it's jerky to not give up a seat to a tired child. Other people think it's jerky to bring a tired child on the bus and expect other passengers to take responsibility for his/her safety.

This was argued over 18 pages until the thread was closed a month ago. I don't think anyone disagrees that it's jerky to sit while a clearly disabled person, pregnant woman, or mother with an infant is standing, but kids are hotly debated. Some will say the jerkiest people are those who expect special treatment because they have kids. You can see that thread here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2943234

Have had this happen too many times. Just last year waited till 10 pm for a bus with a tired 18 month old (who finally fell asleep) and a stroller. Of course once we were on the was no where to sit and one group had 10 kids who were all pushing and shoving in their seats. It was frustrating having to hold a baby, steady myself AND a stroller...In the dark to mind you. And to top it off our bus driver drove like cruella devile. I'm sure its a touchy subject here but that's my 2 cents.

The options I'd vote for aren't listed! I think the jerkiest moves guests can pull are to:

1)FREAK out at your kids and family in the middle of a park because you've been dragging them around for ten hours straight and you need to get the most bang for your buck on your vacation

2)FREAK out at Guest Services because it rained/a ride went down for 10 minutes/your fries were cold/cinderella's makeup was runny/fantasmic was standing room only/captain hook called your kid a scallywag/you dropped a mickey bar on your shirt/etc and demand compensation for everything that doesn't go your way in Disney.

Basically, I just don't like people who cause scenes, or who make their vacation into a death sentence, or who expect compensation for every single moment that isn't perfect.
