Jerkiest Thing A WDW Guest Can Do

The options I'd vote for aren't listed! I think the jerkiest moves guests can pull are to:

1)FREAK out at your kids and family in the middle of a park because you've been dragging them around for ten hours straight and you need to get the most bang for your buck on your vacation

2)FREAK out at Guest Services because it rained/a ride went down for 10 minutes/your fries were cold/cinderella's makeup was runny/fantasmic was standing room only/captain hook called your kid a scallywag/you dropped a mickey bar on your shirt/etc and demand compensation for everything that doesn't go your way in Disney.

Basically, I just don't like people who cause scenes, or who make their vacation into a death sentence, or who expect compensation for every single moment that isn't perfect.

I'd vote for both of those!

So true, its vacation, it should be pleasant.
I saw a women get mad at her hubby on the boat leaving MK one day. She was snotty to him, multiple times and he said a swear in frustration and she Smacked him across the face! I picked up my kids and moved since I wasnt sure if it would escalate. I must say, the gentleman was very reserved and did not react but looked very upset.

I vote yelling at CM. Its just terrible to treat others badly and yelling at people who are there to help just is really jerky.

Jerkiest thing a guest can do? LIE, CHEAT or STEAL.

My favorite in this category is stealing a newspaper at All Star Sports then yelling at me when I called him on it. (I had already put in my money).

When my son was 1 1/2 he was crying on the bus. At that time, he was still nursing to sleep at nap time, which it was but I was tightly crammed between a post and a boy who was maybe about 11- so I was too embarrassed to feed him there. Pretty much the entire bus started up a conversation about how we were terrible parents for letting our child cry on the bus. I was talking to him, doing all the standard fidget, "shhh", try to comfort a kid short of nursing him I could do.

The biggest jerks were the family sitting by DH at the front of the bus, loudly proclaiming to their kids that they never cried in public as babies because they were too good of parents to allow that.
I get it was annoying, but seriously?!? I was crying by the time we got off the bus I was so upset and these people just kept going, insulting me openly as if I wasn't there.

My biggest jerks at the patrons who somehow truly believe they are better than anybody else.

At least you tried to comfort your baby. You were not laughing. Big difference there.

This is a hot-button issue around these here parts. Some people think it's jerky to not give up a seat to a tired child. Other people think it's jerky to bring a tired child on the bus and expect other passengers to take responsibility for his/her safety.

I adopted developmentally delayed twins. Tired or not, they just cannot support themselves standing on a moving bus, even though they were 7 on our last trip. When the bus was full, we would just wait for the next one - NOT expecting special treatment, just knowing their needs.

The jerkiest thing that happened to us REPEATEDLY was people pushing past us to get on the bus, even though we were first in line from passing on the previous one. At the parks they would just go up the roped off area and squeeze in as it stopped. At the resort we never knew where the driver would stop exactly to be in front of the doors for the next one.

If you read the ECV related choice, you will see that it's rather tongue in cheek.

I can't find the hugs emoticon, so ((((())))). (those are hugs) I wish your husband had said something to them about why you weren't doing what needed to be done to help him.

People who use an ECV when they don't need it (lazy or line cutting.)

Pretty sure that (apart from the fact that wheels cannot be counted upon to get you on a ride faster, unless you are tremendously lucky, and usually you end up waiting longer) that was covered in the OP's choices.

After all, the important part wasn't the 20 people, but the carrying-the-ECV part. carrying the ECV rented for you onto a bus would, indeed, show that you don't really need it, I believe.

We're preparing to take MIL on vacation with us, trying hard to convince her to use an ECV (she's insisting on a wheelchair that she won't be able to move on her own, and she doesn't seem to be getting the concept that this is going to exhaust US), and so I've been thinking a lot about ALL the different reasons people use them. And a person carrying their rented ECV onto a bus doesn't fit into any of those scenarios.


So I'm pretty sure that was meant to be funny, obvious, and probably not all that controversial, if we read all the words without getting distracted by "EVC" and "20 family members".

I can't consider them all the same. Using your refillable mug past it's time has no effect on my day.

Jumping from a moving ride? We were in WDW the year the person jumped out of Splash and died. I'm sure if you were the boat following them your ride was not magical. The ride was shut down for days as you would expect.

The other choices on the list are more of an inconvinience whille jumping from a moving ride is a major safety issue. At a minimum the ride stops and causes everyone to have to wait including those in line.

How about the "stroller commando parents" who use their kids in a stroller as a tool to push violently through crowds, clipping people at will? I'll never understand what possesses these people to use their children as weapons! My 72 yo mother was clipped by strollers twice on our last trip!

Oh how awful!!!!! I am so sorry you had to go through that. To me, that would be the jerkiest thing, not just in Disney but anywhere .

Ooooo... this one bugs me too! And how about when a party of one or two takes up a table that's meant for 6? Or a family spreads out onto 2 or more tables just to have some space? I often go solo at the parks and if I have lunch somewhere (quick-service) I always make sure to get a two person table or sit on a bench or something. OR... if I sit at a large table and a large party shows up I give them my table readily. Often however they offer for me to stay (if there's an extra seat) and I make new friends!
