Jerk with Full Tripod @ Illuminations ..

CM's are literally everywhere. Had you had someone in your party grab one, they would have happily escorted the jerk with the tripod out of the handicapped area.
There was only ONE CM, that I could see. She was at/in the Fp section. My family was standing in the back..not next to me. According to the CM, the rail is for guests, who are in a wheelchair or scooter. Although, she melted into the woodwork after she "seated" me.

Guest services assured me the tripod should've NEVER been set up..much less at the rail. I was offered "compensation", but declined. Our Disney plans are booked well in advance. Hopefully, maybe... this CM won't allow a similar incident in the future.

The last straw in my patience was on the Haunted Mansion when a stick appeared around the corner of my doom buggy, then over the top, to catch a sweeping aerial view of the ride. It was absolutely awful.

I totally would have grabbed it and went "oops, I thought it was a spider".

My friend took her daughter in a wheelchair to Disney a couple years ago and gave up on the handicap section since someone always seemed to stand right in front of her, with no thought at all about the girl in the wheelchair behind them.

I've been beating this drum for a long time. More mobility aids need the ability to raise the user so their head is at standing height. Yeah, it screws the center of gravity of the machine up, so lock it up in this mode, or put it into a low-performance mode so it won't tip over. But as long as disabled are seen through down-turned eyes they will not be respected as equals.

No offense, I don't think there are many people that would step over and shove to get in front of say 2 rows of wheelchairs.

Dear gods, what color is the sky in your world? Sorry, that's trite but ... no way, they can points me for it if they must... please never underestimate the ability of strangers on vacation to act badly. Never overestimate humanity in general's regard for the less capable. Not when there's a view of fireworks at stake.

If it would've been me, the second they did it, I'd have given them a reason to need a scooter!
That's easy to say. People don't tend to climb over me either. But then I'm 220 pounds and have the cold dead-eyed stare of a psychopath (or so say the people who know and love me best). Think Amos from The Expanse but without the ruggedly handsome looks. Now the 35 year old lady next to me with MS one year who's chair was literally knocked over by people crowding the W/C section, that's the kind of person people feel comfortable getting in the way of.[/QUOTE]

Sort of sounds to me like you didn't try very hard to get him to move. Yeah he was in the wrong, but if you really wanted to, you could of gotten a family member who was behind you to go get a CM. Sounds a little like your're whining.
