Jergens Sunless Tanner

I finally found some the other day at Wal Mart. It was $4.99 a tube. I bought the medium shade and I can already see a difference in 3 days.

Now I got my mom and stepdad hooked on this stuff! It was unintentional, but I have been unable to find any more here in Seattle and I am almost out - plus I want to try the medium shade, so I called my Mom in PA. She is a tanner already (tanning booths - bad!), and she hadn't even heard of this stuff until today when I called her. I asked her to look for it and pick me up a couple of bottles if she sees it. An hour later she called me! She found it at Walmart and got some for me and for herself - even my pale stepdad is gonna try it. I am kind of happy that she is going to try it, maybe she will stay away from those tanning booths! Anyway, apparently the Jergens Natural Glow craze is contagious!

As I posted earlier for some reason, it is plentiful in PA. I live in Ma and my husband was on a business trip in PA and called me from Wal Mart in St Claire Pa and said they had a huge display ...he got me 4 tubes. I love it. Then again it could be just Wal Mart that first gets the product since they probably hve the largest order.

Anyone find this in Mass or NH? I decided I would give it to my friends as a little end of school gift but I could not find it anywhere. I wish I had thought of it when my husband was in Pa. I have 4 tubes but am afriad to give some away b/c I may not be able to find it again lol. How sick is that?

I'm in MA and I found it at Walmart the other day. They had a whole rack of them, both the light and medium tones. I bought the light, but have not tried it yet. I was going to try it today, but I have to go to work and I don't want to smell all day!! I guess I'll wait until I get home tonight!

How well do you apply this stuff, do you put on a pretty heavy thick coating? How long before it dries? Does it stain the inside of the pants you are wearing after you apply it?

I put it on like regular lotion. I usually load up on lotion, so I do the same with the Jergens. It doesn't sink in as much as normal lotion, so you don't really ever get rid of the greasy feeling (which is why a lot of us just put it on before bed). It says to allow several minutes before dressing. I usually give it about 5 minutes before putting on my pj's. I haven't found any stains from it on my sheets though.

It's the consistency of suncreen -- you know how sunscreen never really "dries" -- it just kind of hangs out on your skin? Same thing.

THANK YOU!!!! After reading this thread, I started to look for this lotion when I was in town. I found a big shelf of it in Wal-Mart for $4.90 a bottle. I was afraid that it would sell out quickly so I bought 4 bottles. I can tell a difference after just a day. Not a huge difference but there is a difference. Thank you for this info, I have a military ball in about two weeks and needs a bit of color to go with my dress and this works. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I've been using the Jergens tanner for about 4 days now, and here's my review. I bought the medium version for under $5 at Walmart. It doesn't smell as bad as the typical self tanners, but I wouldn't wear it if I plan on going somewhere and don't want to smell like self tanner. I noticed a hint of color after the first use. After the second application, I had a bit of streaking on my arms. The color is very subtle, but after each application I'm starting to see a hint of orange. I guess I don't see what the hoopla is over this stuff. I will probably look like a yam if I use this every day. I can get the same result in one day with a normal self tanner. So I suppose if you only want a hint of color, then this is a great product, but with continued use you'll look like you've been wearing any other sunless tanner.

I have been using it for a week and once the color reaches the darkest point you see on the tube it just remains the same. I am STILL loving it actually I love it even more today than I did before. It does not turn yellow, it leaves your skin smooth. I put it on the night before, let it dry and now I am NOT smelling the greasy burger smell anymore (I think it was b/c I had some of the Neutrogena still left on me that the smell came out). I have tried dozens of brands from Chanel to Neutrogena and by far this is the best and most subtle. It looks as if you just got a gradual tan. I will say it again I LOVE IT. If you notice my other posts you will know that I have not been able to say that about any of them before.

I've been using it now for a week. Maybe it's different with skin types, but I don't notice near the smell with this that I've noticed with other self tanners. I'm nice and brown - no orange. I also don't notice any stickiness - seems to absorb into my skin nicely in just a few minutes. I also haven't noticed any streaking.

I'm really pleased with the results!!!!

I've noticed a little yellowing as well, but since I switched to doing it every other day and exfoliating in between, it seems fine. I'll deal with an occasional slightly jaundiced look over pasty white! :)

Attention MA residents, Jergens Natural Glow has been spotted in our State!

I found it tonight in my local Target store! They only had the fair shade but that's what my legs need. It was $5.89.

I just found this at Target today (Chicago), I will post my results after a few days !! :flower:

I started using it Sunday night and this morning I could tell I wasn't applying it well enough on the top of my feet because there was some slight streaking around my toes. I'm surprised it started working this fast though!

I don't think the scent is all that bad at all, it smells like sunscreen to me.

Every morning I can't wait to see the progress! I'm only applying it to my legs so far, I want to make sure I like the product before I dip my whole body in it!

My mom got the last fair skinned one here..And she says its great...But for me I go allanatural.. Lol.. And I am blessed with mid complection

Just got mine (fair) from drugstore.com yesterday. Exfoliated in the shower last night and applied all over (I am sick of being as pale as the Pillsbury dough boy...the sun only makes me burn, itch and turn white again).

I don't get the "stinky" complaints because mine has a light pleasant scent, and I have a sensitive nose. I let it dry before putting on my jammies. Felt a bit sticky for an hour, but it didn't bother me sleeping. Woke up a darker shade of pale, so I think I am going to like this.

QUESTION: Once I get the max results from the "fair" should I move on to the medium? Or do you just stick with the shade meant for your skin type?

Not sure if you should move on to medium. I started out with medium and as I approached the darkest shade, I started to notice some yellowing and streaking, so I stopped using it for about a week or so to let it fade. Now I'm pale again and ready to start over.

I can answer that question with a big no! I started with the fair and then decided to try the medium....I got the streaking and patchy spots with the medium, it was just too dark. If your natural skin coloring matches whats on the fair to start out with, I'd stick with it, otherwise the skin tends to look too orange.
