Grandma is doing better--they released her from the hospital today!!
the beach was awesome--got a tad bit sunbured thouhg, but planning on going back this weekend--only a couple more chances before the semester starts!
--My friend and i went to look at Lucille Roberts gym today--i think i am going to join it-i hope that that will get me completley on track again with working out and eating right...you have to sign up for a year, so i will at least be doing that...anyone worked out there?
hope you guys are doing well!

well this weekend is going to be awesome!
Tonight my best friend and i are going to kohls for the big sale lol--going to spend a ton of money, which i erally dont need to do haha
Tomorrow night, my f amily and friend are going to Buca di peppos..LOVE sitting at the kitchen table there :)
maybe going to NYC on friday, who knows..

well i just got back from dinner with my family--didnt eat too much, so it was a good night all together..
i had the house to myself all day, up until dinner--i was a complete bum and stayed in bed and watched 2 movies ...
tomorrow i have no clue what i am going to do now,,NYC is out, so ill probably just relax..
i am kind of worried though--i have not heard from my friend that was supposed to come home from iraq in about 3 weeks....getting nervous---

okay guys--ive been saying this, and slacking ...but here we go:
i went on the scale and saw 155...i dont know if i have ever been 155, and it really made me realize i needed to get in gear when i saw the number...i started doing some exercises at my house (tae bo tapes and some aerobics)..i am also going to start walking more again...The sweets have been coming in like crazy this week, so i am going to try to cut back on them...
I was going to join the gym that i mentioned, but i realized this semester i am going to have 19 credits (6 classes) for college, then working 14 hours a week..i dont know if i will have time when my day will be..classes 8-1...work 2-6...then gym? im going to just wait a while and see if ill be able to do it all..
maybe this is what i needed to kick my butt into gear, but either way, it worked..
i have about a month till disney and would LOVE to have some pictures that i am not ashamed of myself to look at ...
guess im just blah this week--yesterday was my last day at work for 2 weeks,,,my camp kids will be gone and i will not see the majority of them again, so yesterday was sad...My one friend comes home from iraq *sometime in September! he cant say the exact date, but thats good with me!! My brothers bets friend should be home in November...then we are going on a cruise with him in january !
My friend that i met on anysoldier.com is another story--i still havent talked to him in a few weeks,,i just hope hes okay!

It sounds like you will have a busy schedule once college starts up again. ::yes:: I think your plan to wait and see how it goes it a good one before signing up at the gym. When I was in college, I scheduled my classes on MWF and worked out on T,H,S. Then, student teaching came and that schedule flew out the window. You'll know what works best for you, sweetie. :goodvibes

i think billy blanks and i will be seeing each other every couple of days haha...
i told my self when the semester starts, i need to start getting back on track...i want to lose at least 5-10 lbs by my 21st bday..hope i can do it! (its oct 18)
 
Well i have been doing alot of thinking--
As of September first, i will ONLY be drinking water,,i set up an exercise schedule that i need to follow(i just need to get motivated and stay motivated)...I will take all my medicines regularly (i have a tendency to forget)..
i know it wont happen overnight, and thats what makes it so hard for me to keep going..i really need to stay committed and lose some weight/inches..i know its not that long before my tripk, but im hoping to see some type of difference..
has anyone had any success using a pedometer--is there a certain number of steps that i should "aim" forevery day?
i guess a day at a time, but any other suggestions to keep going would be greatly appreciated
 
Hi Jen,

I think your plan for September sounds great! Maybe you can make a daily checklist to help you stay on track with water, exercise, and meds. Or you could even post here daily and give yourself smilies for each category you complete each day. You could set a goal of x amount of smilies you would like to attain per week and then give yourself a small reward when you accomplish them: maybe something for your Disney trip! :Pinkbounc Remember... it's been said that it only takes 21 days to form a habit. You CAN do it Jen! :cheer2:

As for the pedometer.... I think 10,000 steps = 4 or 5 miles of walking per day.

Just remember Jen... whatever you decide... you CAN do it! We are here cheering you on to VICTORY! :cheer2:

Do you have any idea where to get a pedometer--i would rather not spend a ton of money,,but i do want something that isnt too big

Sounds like you are in a little funk. Work through it, I know you can!

I've missed you lately. I have dial up and limited comp time and have been hanging out on the budget board, but I will try and check in more often to see how you are doing.

I'm doing pretty good. The weight is hovering between 145-148 and I'm fine with that. I've been a bit off and on with the bike, but will be getting my butt in gear more and more as winter approaches and there is less outside work to do. I am just so BUSY! argh...

Your plan sounds good - eat better, drink water, take meds, and exercise a bit each day and things will get in check soon, ok?

I'll check in on you in a couple of days and see how your doing! ;)

I think I saw pedometers at Walmart for about $10. Maybe you can post a question on the main WISH board about them so that you can get the kind you want at the price you want. :goodvibes

Jen, I know that you CAN do this! :cheer2: I know that for me the accountability of checking in my journal everyday helps me a great deal. I hope it helps you too. :goodvibes
 
okay guys--tomorrow is september 1--that is my "start " day ..i am going to write down my goals for each day the night before, that way this kind of holds me accountable for my actions..
i have a lot of vacations coming up that i would love to be in better shape for--Sept 29-Oct 3 i am going for a birthday trip to disney with a friend from college...Nov 29-Dec 2, i will be in disney with my mom, dad, and uncle...then Jan 8-15 i will be on a cruise with my mom,dad, brother, brothers best friend, my aunt and godfather...plus oct 18 ill be 21!

so here we go..goals for tomorrow Sept 1
-Start classes, will be on campus from 8am-130pm, since i leave at 7, i will bring a bag of cheerios to eat on the ride there.
-I will drink at least 3 bottles of water throughout the day
-No unhealthy snacking
-do some light exercises, just to get back into the "swing" of things
-target for school stuff if needed, plus any other errands ill have to do in that area..
-take all my meds (have been having a hard time remembering my synthroid, no clue why!)
-Nails (i have a nervous habit of picking at my nails, so i have stuff to help my nails grow better!)
hopefully will get pedometer!

thanks guys, hopefully by doing this, ill be able to hold myself accountable..at the end of the day, ill put a smile next to it if it accomplished!
