Jen's Journal.....Baby Steps to a new me

Hi Jen,

I am starting over from scratch starting today. Your idea of writing your goals down the night before is a great one. I know you can do this.

okay..here are todays goals---what i accomplished will be marked with a sunny smile face :)

Start classes, will be on campus from 8am-130pm, since i leave at 7, i will bring a bag of cheerios to eat on the ride there. :sunny:
-I will drink at least 3 bottles of water throughout the day--on number 4 now! :sunny:
-No unhealthy snacking (my snack later if i am hungry will be some low fat goldfish :sunny:
-do some light exercises, just to get back into the "swing" of things--ended up doing 45 minutes!! :sunny:
-target for school stuff if needed, plus any other errands ill have to do in that area.. :sunny:
-take all my meds (have been having a hard time remembering my synthroid, no clue why!) :sunny:
-Nails (i have a nervous habit of picking at my nails, so i have stuff to help my nails grow better!) :sunny:
hopefully will get pedometer! :sunny:

well guys, this really was a good idea--i cant believe i did e verything that i needed to do!!

although i didnt get as much exercise in as i would have liked, i did get some,,,i also had 5 hours of homework..after 1 day of classes!!!!
 

TOMORROW S EPT 3

-exercise--possibly walking since i bought pedometer
-water, water, water!
-good food choices/no "bad" snacks
-nails
-medicine
and finally TIM MCGRAW CONCERT tomorrow night!!

i have to say this is definitely holding me accountable--i wanted to do a "bum it" day,,,,decided no way, i am getting up in 10 minutes to go walk/run around a neighborhood around here....
tim mcgraw is tonight so im sure ill be a bit "off" on eating since we usually grab burger king before concerts, but ill just do better today before then!

I am hoping that the exercise on the "to do" list keeps me more on track. I do ok with my eating and I'm pretty go, go, go so I think that's what keep me in my "good" range of 145-148. Believe me, I'm thrilled with that!

SLEEP! im exhausted from yesterday--got no sleep today!

so the one thing that i didnt get done today was sleep---im exhausted , and think its taking a toll on me as im feeling very sick to my stomach today...im not going to make so many goals for tomorrow, in hopes that i can relax before the first whole week of school starts...

so GOALS FOR SEPT 5
-water--not as much as i should have..but still :sunny:
-no "bad" food :sunny:
-relax, relax, relax :sunny:
-medicines :sunny:
-nails :sunny:

well first..here are my goals for tomorrow SEPT 6

-4 classes, then working till 6 :sunny:
-use the pedometer and see how many steps :sunny:
-water water water :sunny:
-cheerios and water in the am :sunny:
-good lunch and dinner :sunny:
-no snacking at the day care center (this is a BIGGIE for me) :sunny:
-medicine :sunny:
-nails :sunny:

*not sure how much exercise im going to be able to get in during the week--im going to hopefully at least do the videos i have--i have school and work till 6...then im beat, but i HAVE to do it!!

well guys--this goal thing is really working out well for me---i know i am held accountable and cannot mess up--disney is in 24 days and then my 21st birthday is next month--i have a cute skirt oufit that i would love to wear for my bday dinner, but i need to make sure i would look okay in it..
on the good side---my friend that i met though anysoldier is HOME FROM IRAQ!! i hadnt heard from him in a month,,but he called me wednesday night ..so im thrilled!!!
Tim Mcgraw concert was good on saturday,but not as good as expected...
this week will be completely busy--trying to get ahead on my homework so that i do not fall behind when i go to disney
have agreat week everyone!!
 
I like your motivation to write things down so you are accountable to yourself (that's the only person you need to be totally accountable to anyway). Keep up the good work - looks like you have some awesome goals going on there!!!!! Sorry to hear the Tim McGraw concert wasn't better - I'd love to see him.

well today was okay--but didnt work out too much...and had *gasp* ice cream from coldstone!! i was completley stressed out and my dad got me ice cream lol
i decided that i wouldnt be able to work 4 days a week with all of my classes--i am now doing 3 so i can get decent grades this semester...

GOALS FOR WEDNESDAY!
-class and work :sunny:
-medicine :sunny:
-nails :sunny:
-water, water water :sunny:
-better meals :sunny:
-No junk at all :sunny:
-no snacking at work :sunny:
-need to work out some! :sunny:

after tomorrow ill have more time hopefully--ill try :)
 
well im losing it--
i could have sworn that i i updated last night and put goals for tonight,,but obviously im going crazy :)

so hers my plan for this weekend--in case i dont get back here :

FRIDAY/SATURDAY/SUNDAY
-classes and work
-TONS AND TONS of homework
-water
-meds
-nails
-working out
-sleepikng at my cousins house
-more homework :)

It must be this time of the year, dd has been bombarded with homework as well. Sounds like you are doing well keeping motivated - that's great.
