Muddin -
* Must have rained within the past 1-3 hours.
* Usually accompanied with loud country music - ie-Hank Williams, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels is my personal favorite - NO DIXIE CHICKS!
* Alcohol is a plus with this activity. Budweiser or Miller are usually the beverage of choice.
* Dirt road or field....keep in mind the rain factor...you now have MUD. If there is a levy or some hills, it enhances the ride.
* The vehicle will go longer and and farther with 4 wheel drive engaged. Without 4 wheel drive, well, then you're just stuck.
* The key is to keep the vehicle moving. Sliding sideways does count as movement. Again, the more hills, the better the ride.
* Try to make sure the vehicle is equipped with "Oh S&!t handles". These come stock with most 4 wheel drive vehicles. Use these handles. (don't say I didn't warn you!!)

The last person I know that went muddin actually slid down a levy and flipped his truck! Yes, he is a dumb@$$, but he did it right!! (totalled the truck!) (hollerin' WOOOHHHOOOOO all the way down, and over!! ruin't his Hank Williams CD...darn shame...he also spilt his beer....now that's just alcohol abuse in my opinion!!)

Not trying to hijack your journal Jen, but heck, you're not posting on it anyway!!

No Dixie Chicks....not trying to cause a controversy or anything, but when you're out muddin'....drinkin'...and actin' stupid in general, you want to hear some good ol' country music....not some political sniping....just my opinion. ( that, and the fact that the chick wears way too much eye makeup....she's gonna wind up with an eye infection one of these days!!)

(honestly, I can't stand country music...give me some Nickleback, Daughtry, Pink, or Hinder any day!!)
