I don't know how I missed this until I saw the date of your MK shoot but you're getting married on my mom's birthday and having your MK shoot on mine... so I know what I'll be thinking of the morning of my birthday... Orlando weather :rotfl:

Yeah, but it's also nervewracking to see all the numbers. We had said we wanted to stay as close to $12-13k as possible, and with the 2-3 cuts we decided on yesterday we will be at almost exactly $13k+/-. Danny said he's ok with that so once I get the updated BEO and Floral BEO we'll be set!

Aww, I'll be thinking of you both on those days!!:cool1:

Glad to hear everything is coming together!

I noticed you had Stitch on your list, I didn't think about him...I was thinking it had to be an "original" character...

Thanks for posting that!

So I just got my revised Floral BEO. The original is posted here, and that total was $1911.01. My new BEO had the mother's flowers changed from a bouquet to a pinned on corsage made up of garden roses in dark pink and some filler for $26 each. A great price considering the original bouquets were $85 each.

I also had the aisle runner set up fee removed because I won't be bringing one.

My new total is now $1771.49

I also emailed my planner with a few changes, like removing the jerk chicken skewer from the pre reception, removing Stitch (which may be added back in if we find $$ for him), and adding the extra hour for the DJ because they only had him there until 5 and we'll def be partying until 6pm!

So that new total is $13498.34!!! Now that's a wedding price I can live with!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::banana:

Now only a few additions to the guest list will bring that number up. We only have one RSVP unaccounted for so once we get that we'll be set!!

No problem. My planner said I could request any character as long as they are not licensed like Winnie the Pooh and they'll try and make it happen.

I wanted Stitch for Danny but when he saw the price he told me to take him off! LOL.

I'm posting the estimated BEO so other brides will have an idea of what things cost. If you want the full breakdown please just ask, I'm more than willing to share it. It's just hard to make it into a picture, especially because the actuall BEO is like 10 pages long, ha!

So here's the condensed version and if you want anything expanded on just let me know.

I hope this helps other brides!

Wow! Thank you for posting this! Although your ceremony will be at the WP, we will both have our receptions @ Ariels so its a little relieving to see your over-all expenditures. For some reason, the initial budget I wrote out came out way more that 14K and we have a lot of similarities. Im prob gonna have around 30-35 guests too. But here is my question, how is that your buffet pp price is so much less? The menues that were sent to me, the prices were way more, like 80 pp. How did you get it to 60-something? Did you customize your menue?

Also, your pre-reception cost pp is 20-something bucks, thats awesome. The menues I saw said something like 29 bucks. So I guess, what Im seeing, is that you dont necessarily have to follow the menues they have?

Also, what did you choose for floral? I hadnt planned on doing really any floral based on what our budget will be, so Im a little curious bc if I can bring down some of these costs, then maybe I can spend some money on florals. :goodvibes

Yes, I customized my menu. It's a huge amount of food for the price. I cut our cocktail hour food to just the fajita station so that dropped our apps from 20.50pp to $11.00pp. Then the dinner consists of a salad, three dressings, canadian cheddar cheese soup, carved beef action station, mashed potatoes, parm crusted chicken, pasta action with an a la vodka sauce and alfredo sauce, and finally a mickey premium bar to be served with the cake. That was $67pp. I was expecting a HUGE price like $90+ but I wa sso surprised with that price. Especially after the tasting when it seemed like so much food.

When I first got the menus emailed to me I was not happy with any of them, then many of the brides here just told me to add anything we wanted, so I built my menu based on things that sounded good and WDW restaurant faves like the soup.

My floral BEO is on page 17, it describes exactly what I am getting. But what saves the most $$ is transferring your ceremony floral to the reception and getting double use out of it.

Hi!

Thanks for posting your Beo! Its so helpful to see them! :thumbsup2

I have a question for you about your DJ price. I noticed the cost is $1150. I thought I read that DJs start at $1500. Am I remembering incorrectly or did you get a deal on the DJ somehow?

TIA!
Leah

You're welcome! I'm glad it helped!

Actually, funny you asked... My planner only had the DJ until 5pm when my reception goes to 6pm. I asked her about it and she said she just missed this and would fix it in my revised BEO.

I got that in this afternoon and my DJ costs are now $1400 for 5 hours. I guess DFTWs is over-estimating how much they cost?

Oh! That's interesting! I'm glad something actually costs less than the estimate they give you! That's a real shocker, but a welcome one! :rotfl:

thanks again for sharing your info!!

I was expecting it to be so much more expensive, but was pleasantly surprised when it was less.

2 months/60 Days to go!!! Yay!

so my to do list is growing. But I will be crossing off a few things this week and next week. Tomorrow I will be going to my first dress fitting and next week we will be going to the courthouse to get out marriage license. I wanted to do it at just under 2 months because its only good for 60 days.

I emailed my planner's assistant yesterday about the two free nights we got when we signed our Wishes contract.

I let her know what resort we wanted and she just emailed me back this morning with the resort confirmation number!

We're staying at the Beach Club (easiest since our reception is there), and we got a deluxe room so we're not staring at grass, we'll have a water view!:cool1:

I'll be staying in it the night before the wedding and getting ready in it the day of because it has the most room. Then we'll stay in it that night!

We're keeping our room at the Port Orleans French Quarter because my mom will be staying in it.

So I had my dress fitting at Alfred Angelo yesterday and it went well. I'm having a simple American Bustle, and the only thing that had to be fixed was the sholder straps inside the dress that needed to be tightened.

So I thought that it would be cheap... yeah right. It ended up costing $175 :scared1:

I mean, I understand that there are labor charges but my goodness!

I brought my shoes, and the women at the store freaked! They loved that they were pink! They look so stark against my dress but with my flowers it will look great!

Wow your wedding is coming up fast!! It seems like the to do list grows daily as the day approaches! Enjoy getting it all done! And 175$ for a bustle? I agree, that is a wee bit expensive lol

I know, it's coming up fast. We're under 60 days!!

The fitting killed me lol. I even asked why it was so much. Apparently they charge a set price for the job and then add in the labor. So the bustle costs $60 plus 1/2 hour labor, the shoulder straps were $50 plus 1.5 hours of labor.

It's like they're nickel and diming me. Heh.

The room sounds great it's good you got what you wanted and it will work well with your wedding location.

Yes the cost to alter the dress does seem high but it will be worth it. :)

Can't wait to see you in it. My Sister had an Alfred Angelo dress for her wedding. :flower3:
