Firts of all Ive never been a star watcher so if this is how they "normally" are I have no idea. I just thought this was so juvenile!!

In August, 2001, she tells a Rolling Stones reporter, while flipping a double bird:

"Bush is a f*cking idiot"

and then goes on, referring to President Bush's daughter, Jenna:

"We'd [Brad Pitt and her] pass her in the hall and Brad would say, 'Heyyyy, Jenna, wanna beer? I got one in the truck!'"

Nice, eh?

Nothing like Jr High behaviour!

Some peoples kids!

Was this before or after that she publicly stated that she and Brad had given up "smoking pot" so they could have a baby (oh, there's a comforting thought).

Did this interview take place in their (Brad and Jennifer) Ivory Tower?...Just wondering.

In my opinion:

"We'd [Brad Pitt and her] pass her in the hall and Brad would say, 'Heyyyy, Jenna, wanna beer? I got one in the truck!'"

is actually quite funny. :o

We can only hope they have no success in procreating...

Well, I don't expect to agree with Jennifer Aniston's politics, but could she behave in a little less crude manner? No wonder Brad Pitt fell in love with her, so demure and ladylike

So ridiculing girls that were minors, who already had to live with un sought for notariety is funny? Show a little class!

Yep. I thought it was funny.

I've really moved beyond trying to please every single poster on the Dis. I thought that remark was funny. I laughed. Classy or no, I'm honest.

I understand the concept to be funny. But, c'mon. That remark completely lacked in creativity and insight. No wonder they only get paid to read what someone else writes. There's no future for them in comedy writing.

I'm guessing that Brad Pitt isn't on her top ten hot guys list. :)

That's okay, that leaves more room for me. Jenna, I like long walks on the beach, classic movies & I voted for your dad... :teeth:

Well, that's no worse than the comment that Julia Roberts made. Something like, "Well, I drink too (referring to Jenna) if Bush were my Daddy." Charming, isn't she?

Ummm, these comments were made in August, 2001.

Lots of water has passed under many bridges since then.

I can't quite figure out what an ancient Anniston/Pitt comment has to do with Iraq, or the point in bringing it up now.

Or is there some effort afoot to search out anyone who ever said anything negative at any time about President Bush? If so, that's a bigger thing to get fussed about than some inoccuous comment made by some celebrity in Rolling Stone almost two years ago.

Dandave,

While the original comment didn't make me laugh, your reply got a chuckle out of me.

Thanks for a moment of candor...

As for Jennifer and Brad, geez, who really cares? It's not like I'm going to run into them at a PTA meeting or something.

Daisy;)

Could you please point me to the statute of limitations on posting whatever comments one wishes for whatever reason on the DIS? Thanks. ;) Meanwhile, try not to get too "fussed" about it.

I think Jennifer makes comments like that because she's hungry!!

Last awards show I saw her on, she was a poster child for the Anorexia Society--even her hair looked limp !
Just finished watching a rerun of Friends (one of the first seasons) as my DD is a fan--JA looked healthy and had some curves.....so different from today.

Eat some Food, Jen--your whole outlook will change !!!!

Yeah. . you never heard a Republican say anything crass like that about Clinton when he was President. . they respect the office like all us good Germans. . uhhh. . . I mean good Americans should. . .

Oh yeah, and did patriotic Americans like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity completely stopped saying anything negative about Clinton when we had troops fighting in Kosovo and Haiti. .

I'm sure they did . . . as soon as our troops were fighting they completely backed Clinton and refused to say a negative thing about him until they were out of danger. . I mean, they had to of. . certainly they or anyone here wouldnn't be hypocrites like that, right??

Hmm, my recollection was the knock against Clinton was his proven infedility, not baseless comments on his intelligence or lack of it.

Oh & I thought that we learned that the President's children were off limits after the last administration & they were...until this administration. I guess it doesn't work both ways. *shrug*

There were plenty of "baseless" knocks against Clinton for being from Arkansas (President Bubba), for liking McDonald's and being in less than stellar shape...the same kind of non-policy detractions other presidents have faced. Remember how people questioned Reagan's intelligence because he was an actor? Or the "scandal" that he may have dyed his hair to look younger?

As for the presidential offspring, I believe the difference is that Chelsea was underage and the Bush daughters are not.

They're still technically minors though or else there wouldn't have been a big deal made about it at all.

1) They were underage.

2) This pithy comment by Pitt was not said ABOUT them, it was said TOO them. That, in my view, makes it too low to be humorous. It would be like Limbaugh making a homely joke about Chelsea to her face.
