Jennifer and Luke's PJ/TR NY/WDW HM 6/6/2010,Wedding photos up! 12/08

Just wanted to say that I'm in the process of making a fabric flower and button bouquet for my wedding. I'm using green florist wire for the stems. When I put all the flowers together at the end I will bind the stems together with florist tape and then bulk out the handle with organza ribbon pinned in place with diamante pins.

Hope this helps you:goodvibes

I love your pictures Jennifer! I think that you really got some great shots, and there is so much emotion in most of the pictures. So I think that you have some great photos to remember your day by, and your additional session will just be fillers to complete your wedding pictures. You guys look like such a genuinely happy and in-love couple :goodvibes

I think you have a bunch of really cute pics. I like the ones by the bar, I also love the one of you and DF during your MOH's speech. And the two in front of the lake.

All the details came together great! The pinwheels were awesome!

I like the pictures you've posted so far and I had to mention that the picture of you sitting on the bar with your girls you have Mickey Ears! The plates on the shelf behind you are perfectly positioned so that they are awesome Mickey ears. I was flipping quickly through the pics and had to stop to look at that one again because I thought you actually had an ear hat on that I had not noticed earlier.

I love this pic, it's so nice!

I can see what you mean by the blowout on the dress though in the other photos, you can hardly see any of the beautiful detail that your dress has. Sepia tone definitely helped, it made the photo look really warm.

Everything you did looked beautiful jenn! Love the table #s. So adorable! Great first song pick-one of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song. You and Luke look so happy! Gotta love shots!!! :rotfl:
aw thanks hun! I really was pleased with how they came out. We were so back and forth on the first dance song....i'm really happy with our choice..it wasn't cheesy and meant a lot to us. Thanks!
I really love these pictures!!! It sucks that you had to do so much to them yourself but they look great to me right now! I do think the Sepia adds a nice effect to the photo. Oh and congrats on finding a new photog! I love the fabric bouquet...it would make a really cute keepsake too :goodvibes
Thanks hun! I have like 10 more to edit and then I am happy to say i am DONE. though if we do a whole book of the sepia (which is probably a yes) then I have more editing to do! but its a lot quicker. We are contemplating only doing a sepia book...but we know both our mom's wouldn't like it so....we might just make 2 for us. hahaha I am very excited about our new photographer. our photo session is September 19. we are hoping for nice fall weather....and not crazy chicago snowing way too early weather....so wish us luck!! haha Thanks, I keep meaning to post photos of the samples i did last weekend and keep forgetting but I will post them. I like the idea of having something from our wedding forever. I wanted to make a shadow box with my garter and such but my other flowers had to be pressed so they need glass...so I can use these! (big big shadow box haha)

that does help! I am using the green florist wire as well. I was concerned with it being too thin at the end. the ribbon is going to bulk it out enough you think? I am still testing it. I only have 3 flowers as of now because I was testing which ones I liked the best! I will let you know how I do. I bought the pins and ribbon as well. so we will see. are you using any type of foam to them in to make the arrangement?

Thanks! Yeah thats what i am hoping. While there are some things i'm disappointed about I think that we can make a nice album. Also I just got 2 cds from friends and they have filled in a few gaps. so I just need to edit their photos the same way so they all look similar. I have long hours of blurb book making in my future. We already started our honeymoon one...and it is going to end up to be like 200 pages :rotfl:

The photos get me rather emotional when I look at them because I know how emotional we were that day.

Thanks hun! The guests were wearing the pin wheels in their hair and their coat jacket which really was an awesome to see. I am very please with them. and they were so easy to make. i'm going to grab some left over ones for the photoshoot.

hahahhahah! I didn't notice that. thats really funny. Mickey already knew I was coming down to see him and had to jump into my photos. thanks for bring that to my attention
The pinwheels are great.
Thanks hun!

aww thanks! Yeah....the really blown out ones I was turning B&W before i thought about doing them all sepia. so i'm glad someone else agrees. I will post more sepia ones in the next post.

Ahh I've missed so much by being away! I'm glad you did find a photgrapher to take pictures with. I totally see what you mean about your pictures. The sepia looks great; it gives the old vintage feel. :lovestruc I love the pictures of you two at the bar. They are cute. Your candy buffet looks great. I bet you put so much time into that. :thumbsup2

I was thinking of making it in a bridal bouquet holder - the one with the dry foam as opposed to the one you can wet. I'm gonna try it without first and if the handle is too thin then holder it is. Let me know how you get on.

Morning, So i am going to try and finish up the wedding day because its getting drawn out. I thought today was appropriate to post the ending because we have been married for 2 months today!!

So after our song people were pretty much dancing, drinking and chatting. We made our rounds and tried to talk to as many people as possible (this is really hard!)

There isn't really too much description for these so I will try and let the photos tell the story.

Where Dh was during this time i'm not quite sure haha
DSC_4992.jpg

Me with our DJ he did a great job!
DSC_4999.jpg

This was in the bar that was part of our room. but it seems to be the only picture
DSC_4958.jpg

the cake topper was too heavy so they waited til the last second to put it up.
DSC_5001-1.jpg

the only picture of the cake....and he didn't tell the girl to get out of the way??! :headache:
DSC_5032-2.jpg

this one is better but its blurry...you can't tell as much in the sepia one...so sepia it is!
DSC_5006.jpg

DSC_5010.jpg

only picture of us cutting the cake...I want to know who was in front or us....someone has to have a better picture...
DSC_5014.jpg

(I think the DJ wants some! haha)
DSC_5018.jpg

unfortunately there is no good one of luke eating cake. We used forks....so there was no chance of him stuffing it in my face. in fact....he was confused when I brought it up before the wedding. He was like why would i do that? apparently only Americans like to stuff cake in each other's face!

(doing the rest in sepia to see if you guys like)
DSC_5020-2.jpg

one of my favorites.

DSC_5049-1.jpg

DH actually forced me to sit and eat my dessert I was too busy dancing and yapping

DSC_5040.jpg

DSC_5043-1.jpg

This is when Mr. Brightside came on...and we danced and jumped to the whole thing. everyone stopped to watch! its one of my favorite memories of the day

Then we did the bouquet toss.
DSC_5055-1.jpg

My eyes had to be closed because there were mirrors in front of me.
DSC_5058.jpg

DSC_5060.jpg

This picture is awesome. (can you see how happy I was that she caught it?)
38663_539586038362_27100328_31847154_4053907_n.jpg

i'm pretty sure this is staged but its awesome none the less

As all of you know this is the point where we had problems....so there are no more pictures. We didn't get to do our last dance to "A Whole New World" which really upset me...but there wasn't much we could do.

The rolls was back! and because of all the issues they stayed and were very patient until we could come out for the photos and go to the hotel.

Then we drove off to the hotel to party some more!

So that was our wedding day. We are still doing the redo shoot...while we have pictures of me and DH they just aren't as magical and special as I had hoped. We signed our contract and we are scheduled for September 19th! Tomorrow I am going to a local Salon to talk to them about doing my makeup and hair. They have wedding prices and then special occasion prices. I am hoping they give me the special occasion prices.....as this is not my wedding day. They do makeup and hair at the same place...and after going back and forth me and DH decided it was best for me to get them done professionally because what if I mess it up and then I don't like these photos?! would be waste of money! so yeah...I have chosen to do it this way because I found out that Mac's limit is like $50 bucks...and they open at 12 on sundays. the salon charged $65 but opens at 10 and can do my hair as well...so i think earlier and less traveling is best.

my mom is trying to convince me to us real flowers....she doesn't seem really into the fabric bouquet..I'm still working on it though....

I just caught up! Your reception looks like it was so much fun....was that tequila shots I spotted? The decor for it looks really nice as well!

I love all the outdoor pictures of you! And the one sitting on the bar is really cute :goodvibes

the reception looked so fun! I love the photo after you tossed the bouquet and the one of you and the girls dancing. I like the sepia effect on the pictures too.

I agree with your DH, you definitely want your hair and make-up to look good and it might be too much pressure to do it yourself.

Maybe once your mom sees the fabric bouquet she'll like it better? You could do a silk bouquet too.

And Happy two month anniversary!

You did get some really nice photos, I agree not enough to fill an album like you would expect to be able to do, but enough to have some really nice ones about your home.

I love the bouquet toss pics, they're great. We staged a bouquet toss pic at a friends wedding a couple of months ago. One friend's boyfriend wasn't there, so we staged the photo to look like she caught it. Lots of fun.

I laughed with the bouquet toss pictures. :) That's funny how there were a wall of mirrors there too. It sounds like you have everything planned out for the pictures. :) That's going to be exciting. I can't wait to see how they turn out. :)

I'm glad you've got your photo shoot all sorted.
Thanks hun

haha yep! They gave me the choice of what shot I wanted to do...and thats what i choose. the bartender had to run around getting more glasses and tequila for everyone!

Thanks!

Yeah...I donno why I always think I can do it myself..I was trying to save money.....I went to the salon on saturday and she actually gave me a better price then what was online! so big plus.

I donno. she just does not understand what I'm doing. I hope when she sees it she will like it but at this point she thinks i'm weird. hahaha

Thanks!

Yeah I agree...we just need to fill in the gaps with this photo shoot and I think i'll feel better.

haha thats funny! Who knows maybe she will be next!

Yeah I wasn't thinking about the mirrors and the photographer was like your cheating close your eyes! i was afraid i would hit the ceiling or throw it into the wall or something!

Thanks! I am actually pretty excited for it. I think DH is as well though he wouldn't admit it!

So I went to the salon on saturday and had a consultation. The girl was very nice and even gave me a deal! so I feel much better that hair and makeup are taken care of!

In other news me and DH are starting to talk about our One Year Anniversary trip....being that pricing just came out. We are talking about renting DVC points....but we really don't know much about it. Anyone give us tips? I have been reading the FAQ and boards about it but if any of you have done it before we would really like to hear your experience. Our main questions have to do with how do magic your way tickets work? Can we add them on to the DVC package? Dining as well? Also do you have to pay everything up front? Or does that depend on who you rent from? Any help would be great! I think we are looking at Boardwalk.....though i'm trying to convince DH on Animal Kingdom. (he thinks its too far away from everything) or WL.

We rented points for our honeymoon last year and it was great. We saved a lot of money and stayed at SSR. There is a level of trust involved since you're doing a cash transaction with a complete stranger. I asked for references and they were nothing but glowing, so we went forward with it. Plus, the lady we rented from used PayPal which kept our information secure. The owner is able to add a dining plan to your package, but you don't pay for the dining plan until you check in. I'm not sure about the tickets; we're passholders so we didn't have to deal with that. The owner did offer to arrange for Magical Express as well, but we didn't need that either since we're locals. All in all, we loved the whole process and thought it was a great deal and very easy to do. I think it all depends on who you rent from. Let me know if you have any other questions!

You guys look like you had a lot of fun at the reception. I love the bouquet picture!

I am so glad you got your photoshoot all set up along with hair and makeup. I agree with Sara that you totally should do both so you don't have to stress about it the day of.

Well usually Magic Your Way tickets can include dining...so I am guessing (or hoping!) that if you can add dining you can have tickets because they are usually linked. Its good to know that magical express is an option as well! I wasn't sure about that. How did you go about finding the person you rented from? did you use the renting boards on the dis? How far in advance did you book? It seems that the resorts we are interested in are not the home resort of a lot on that thread. Did you pay the full amount up front or did you pay a deposit and the rest closer too? also if you don't mind how much did you pay per point? I want to know what is average. You can PM me if you don't want to answer these on here. sorry about all the questions!

Yeah I feel a lot better now that things are settled and i don't have to worry!

Dude this is the 1000 post on my thread. thats crazy....

anyway...its Day 5 Part 1 time!!! (finally I know)

So today was Saturday and we decided it was the best day for a no park day. Neither of us have ever been in the park on a weekend and we decided to avoid Saturday crowds. We were very happy to find all the different things you can do without going to a park!

So we slept in a little (like 8am) and then took the boat over to the contemporary because we at a 10am ADR at Chef Mickey's!

IMG_3178.jpg

This is DH's "its 9am why are you taking my picture" face
IMG_3177.jpg

This was our first time at the contemporary and we were very excited to play around....plus we thought the boat would take a lot longer and we had tons of time!

so once I saw mickey I needed a picture and a CM came out of no where and asked if we would like a picture together!
IMG_3182.jpg

IMG_3185.jpg

I love these pictures because me and DH didn't look at the photos each other took.....we just took the same picture!

IMG_3188.jpg

IMG_3189.jpg

we clearly think alike

We still had so much time so we wandered around in the shops. BTW when we were there one of the shops had a huge pin board where you could trade from? I donno if this was normal but it had everyone very excited...i didn't see any i needed though.

We then went out on the balcony to see the pretty view!
It was such a sunny day...i donno if you can tell but it was like blinding sun.

IMG_3213.jpg

IMG_3206.jpg

We we headed over to Chef Mickey's
IMG_4135.jpg

Chef Mickey's was fun, we enjoyed the characters more than the food. but it was still nice to try it once!

IMG_3231.jpg

we were given a special cupcake! and some celebrating buttons
IMG_3236.jpg

IMG_3240.jpg

(my posing photo with mickey is TERRIBLE)
IMG_3242.jpg

IMG_3245.jpg

IMG_3247.jpg

This happened a lot (ps this is the BEST of the two DH took) Does anyone else get hugged to death by characters so you can't even see you in the photo? I apparently do.

IMG_3249.jpg

IMG_3250.jpg

Why is minnie rarely themed? She always has to wear the same outfit. doesn't seem fair.

So Breakfast was good and then we were back on the boat to go to Fort Wilderness!
