Jennifer and Luke's PJ/TR NY/WDW HM 6/6/2010,Wedding photos up! 12/08

 OMG I'm so sorry to hear that! :grouphug: lots of pixie dust your way. That's such a shame. I know there isn't much to say, but I've got two ears to listen if you need to vent. I like how you are thinking positive to the future. Keeping thinking positive and I hope it all works out with your pictures. I can only imagine how you much. Lots of pixie dust!!:grouphug:

I'm so sorry about your pictures. :sad2: I would think that for a friend you'd want to do a better job. It couldn't hurt to talk to him and see if there is anything he can do. It sounds like he knew the pictures were not very good and was stalling. I know nothing can bring back that day, but try to stay positive and hopefully you can do a just married shoot and get some great photos from there.

That's great that you have a trip booked to Disney for your first anniversary, it's definitely something good to look forward to.

Try to keep your chin up, but it's definitely okay to vent here anytime.

OMG! I can't believe that :scared1: I think you're attitude is great and I really hope the engagement photographer will do the wedding shoot for you!

I think it's really good you have a trip to Disney that you can think about and plan for, something positive in all the chaos.

(And CinderelliT I'm just a terrible lurker and forget to post my thought so I'm still here!)

Getting your engagement photographer to do another shoot for you is a great idea, those photos came out great :thumbsup2

I feel really sorry for you, this is my biggest nightmare. I hope you're able to work out something. :grouphug:

Surely he would have shot in RAW, I thought that was one of the most basic things a professional photographer did :confused3

:grouphug::wizard:

(and I don't think that asking for a VR 5 years out is too much to ask...I asked ...*cough* demanded one...on our 1 year anniversary! :thumbsup2)

Thank you very much hun. every little bit helps....so i'm glad I have you ladies to talk to or I think i'd really be freaking out!

Thanks hun. I know I would have been a million times more careful for a friend. but I guess he didn't think that way? I have no idea what was on his mind.....and I am so uncomfortable to talk to him right now. I need to wait a bit. Yeah I am really hoping for the reshoot with the photographer I know is good. It will give me another chance to wear my dress! and get all pretty again. I just hope that the dlx dining plan didn't make me gain weight! :rotfl:

We are waiting for the prices to be released currently. So we are hoping they aren't too bad. We really want the WL again but we are open for other options....we don't have the same kind of budget. So we are also trying to get prices on boardwalk (I don't know if its cheaper) Coronado spring , Caribbean beach, port Orleans french quarters.

Thanks a lot hun. You always know how to make me feel better

haha well...i purposely didn't post on saturday because it would have been something like "JKHSKHAFJLKAJFKJA!!!!!" hahahaha :rotfl: so I held back and waited til I wasn't throwing stuff (I threw a pillow across the room about half way through the pictures, could have been worse....good thing I didn't have a glass in my hand) Thankfully me and DH are going away this weekend for his birthday (big 30!) so that will help us get away and just be with each other and not the world. but I like looking forward to Disney it seems to make life better doesn't it?

I agree! Though it really gets me nervous that he won't answer me...I dreamed about it all last night! and didn't sleep very well! gah...I don't like waiting for people to answer me....

I know...it was my biggest nightmare too. When i heard about poor Mandy's engagement photoshoot horror....I was if that happens to me i'll kill someone. welp....no one is dead yet! :lmao: well...not everyone shoots in raw. I don't think my engagement photographer did. but his were just shot really well. If your a good photographer your photos are shot well the first time and don't need a lot of editing. Me and DH were like....we shoot all the time and don't need much editing? for example I noticed yesterday while editing (I think i'm almost 1/2 way through) that it would take him like 5-8 sets of photos to get it right...so this would mean the people would change and at the last set of people he'd finally get the lighting right. :confused3 how do you DO that? didn't he check what he was doing. it would have been better if he shot on auto. sigh...vent over

Sending you lots of hugs and pixie dust
Thank you hun!
:grouphug::wizard:

awww yay! group hugs. I need them. hahaha well DH is reading this now so....Pay attention dear. I may demand things!

I already mentioned it to DH last night...and told him where my top places to have it are. (Sea Breeze Point or one of the countries in Epcot!) and who i'd want out photographer to be! (the roots!) haha poor DH he is going to have to go through Jenn planning a wedding again!

okay...i'm going to distract myself by finishing day 4 of the TR.

Day 4 Part 2

so after the entertaining streetmosphere we off to get our fastpasses for TOT! with Fastpasses in hand we went over to check out the magic of disney animation.

DSC_0537.jpg

we took this because I have the exact picture from when i was a kid and we went.....because I always wanted to work for Disney so this was one of my favorite things. It was back when you actually could watch them draw...

We went and saw lots-o and Sorcerer mickey!
The lots-o picture is on our photopass cd which we are waiting for but here is the wonderful mouse!
IMG_3075.jpg

We did the quiz
I was
IMG_3078.jpg

and DH was
IMG_3081.jpg

which I thought was quite funny..

DSC_0555-1.jpg

Then we waited for the drawing class...and DH got bored

IMG_3082.jpg

aww
We ended up drawing Genie which I thought was a bit random...I had heard the fab 5 and stitch but not genie!
IMG_3087.jpg

This was the teacher's
IMG_3091.jpg

IMG_3092.jpg

We then we each got a ice lemonade and were given a free cookie! awww it was sweet (and very very good)
Then while we were sitting DH asked if I wanted to see American Idol. Which I thought he was kidding...(he wasn't) so we did that....it was funny i guess. i'm not very into the show, but the girl who we thought was the best won so good for her.

Then we went to use our TOT fastpasses. While we walked over there some of the Bellhops were taking photos with people. so of course we jumped at that chance!
IMG_3095.jpg

right before we took this picture one of the guys asked us if we had checked into our honeymoon suite yet? catching on pretty quickly we were like "oh not yet!" so they were like "Amy will take you" (she is clearly the girl in the photo!) so we were then taken through the gift shop and through the CM elevator right onto one of the elevators!! we were both SHOCKED and thanked her a million times! I have heard of giving fast passes but not putting you right on the ride!

After our awesome 'honeymoon' ride we just back on through the fastpass lane. This time we were standing in front of a dad and his little daughter. She kept saying dad is this fast? I don't know if I like this. She then sat right next to me and look at me with terrified eyes. (we were also in the front row) I was like its very fun and you don't have to be scared (I don't think I convinced her) She was def freaked out and yelling during the ride. so after the drops when it goes dark she goes..."dad........can we do that again?" it was awesome and classic.

When we saw this picture we had to get it. See the little girl?!
IMG_4110.jpg

IMG_4112.jpg

 this picture is my fave.

we then did the great movie ride before our ADR at 50's Prime Time
IMG_3096.jpg

After this we headed over to 50's Prime to see if we could get in early. The CM checking everyone in was very excited that we were on our honeymoon. This is where it ended. it was a very bad meal where the food was terrible and the server was boring and a little snippy. We also were in a corner with no themeing! very disappointing

but here is a cute picture of DH to make it better
IMG_3121.jpg

After our meal we decided we wanted to head back to the room. so we headed to the entrance and stopped in that expensive one of kind memorabilia store.
This is what I decided I wanted.
IMG_3159.jpg

DH would not pay the $300 or so dollars for it! :scared1: hahaha

We also found this. it was a check from Lucille Ball. Look at the date!
IMG_3157.jpg

i thought that was cool

We got back to the room, dropped some stuff off then headed to MK for EMH. it was open til 2 am so we had some rides to ride!

IMG_3164.jpg

we took the boat over

I don't remember all the rides we did. I do know we did Jungle Cruise because I always wanted to do it in the dark. and I think we did Big Thunder and haunted. Then we headed over to fantasy land to ride the carousel.
IMG_3166.jpg

IMG_3168.jpg

I really wanted to ride dumbo but the line was still stupidly long. we never did get to ride it....:sad2:

We then headed over to see how long the wait for Space was it was crazy so we moved on. I think the only other thing we went on was buzz.
IMG_3172.jpg

which I FAILED. I usually beat DH I don't know what was wrong with me this night. Then I started to be a poop and was falling asleep. So we left around 1 am. which totally annoyed DH but it would have been bad for me to fall asleep in the middle of the park!

Yay more photos! I really want to do the magic of Disney animation when we go this time. Did you really enjoy it? How long does it take?

I love your TOT pictures! The bellhops are so serious, it was awesome of them to take you up through the cm entrance, and the faces during the ride are so funny! (mine would not be any better, but it is still fun).

I am sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience at 50's - I will have to go to your dining review to read more! We are going there for the first time on our next trip - I have heard so many good things about it!

Anyway, it was another great instalment and I look forward to the next one!

I really enjoyed it and I think DH did too even tho he really didn't want to do it. He was afraid his drawing would be terrible. You have to wait in a big holding pen for like 10-15 mins and then the class is about 15-20 mins long. I think its worth it its a great way to take a break from crowds. you can also skip the movie and go straight there. I would def do it again.

haha....we were definitely were over doing it on that photo. We wanted a very classic TOT scared photo....be we usually are all smiles because we love it so much!

I am hoping it was just a bad experience and if we go back it would be better. I'm not sure.

Thanks hun!

First, I know it won't alleviate the situation but I'm SO sorry that your wedding pictures didn't turn out well :sad2::sad2:. You and Luke are such an amazing couple that its totally crazy all this crap has happened to you! I think you have a great attitude about the whole situation though and redoing the photos is a wonderful idea!! Plus it gives you another chance to wear your wedding dress again which is always a good thing. And I definitely agree that planning your 1 year anniversary trip will help take your mind off everything :goodvibes

Second, LOVE the TOT ride picture!! That's so amazing that you got to walk right on the ride! You guys definitely got some fantastic treatment while you were there...we didn't get on any rides without any waiting! I'm sorry your 50s Prime Time experience wasn't great...we had a really fun time there, I think it was my favorite restaurant! Maybe you guys can give it a second chance and have a better time when you go back for your anniversary :cutie: The drawing class looked like a lot of fun! We missed that, I'm putting it on my list for our next trip :rotfl:

Hey, I know you don't want to dwell on your wedding pictures (I'm SO sorry that that happened to you guys) so I just wanted to say we're here for you!

Your honeymoon looks great so far! When I did the animation class, we drew Genie too!! (funny li'l coincidence I had to share). That's so cool about ToT, and the ride pics are AWESOME!!! :)

aww thank you hun! It helps that we have supportive friends. I am still waiting to see if the other photographer....so hopefully he will contact me soon so i can feel better about all this. I love the idea I can wear my dress again! thats the best part. I can't wait to go into trip planning mode once prices come out!

It was a total surprise when they took us through the back i never heard anyone doing that. I think its funny how everyone loves the restaurant and it was so bad for us. I think it was really our waiter. I have heard good things from some vegetarians but the waiter just was so bad and didn't care about my dietary needs and was sooooo off character. made it boring. I would def want to give it another try. hoping it was a fluke that it was so bad. haha we will have a huge list for what we didn't get to do this trip! its a must do tho.

thanks hun! I appreciate it.

thats weird because i thought it was such a random character! DH laughed at me because i wanted to go back....and he was like and if we get genie again? just walk out? :rotfl:

Thanks!

Just caught up and so sorry to hear about your photos

I am sending you good vibes from across the Atlantic :goodvibes

The most important thing is that you and DH are married and will always, always remember your day.

The images in your memory are always more personal than the ones in a frame :flower3:

We were disappointed with 50's Prime Time too (we did enjoy playing with the Viewmasters however). The guy was kind of in character, but mostly was just phoning it in. And the food was nothing worth going out of our way for. I'm glad you guys got a chance to visit Star Wars Weekends!! We've been a few times and it is one of our faves. I've never seen that Ewok shirt at Disney! I'll have to look for that next time.

I love the TR. You guys look like you had so much fun!!!!
thanks! We really did!

awww thanks dear. I agree. I am just getting tired of dealing with all the problems.

Well..at least we weren't the only ones who had a bad experience with 50's so many people have said they are surprised we had such a bad meal. It sucks that its the luck of the draw if you have a good time or a bad...but i guess thats how it is. It was the best! We loves star wars and it was so much fun and something totally new. Yeah....even CM's never had saw the Ewok shirt. (i didn't realize it was hard to get....it was my goal of the trip!) it is only sold at d street. it was no where in the parks or in the star wars shops.

Looks like you had fun at Hollywood Studio. I love the TOT picture. You know, I wasn't impressed went I ate there either....I was going to give the 50's Prime a second chance, but now I might go for something else.

hmmm..well another choice that we loved is Sci Fi. we had a much better experience there on our last trip. So if you haven't tried it yet you should.

So i figured while I have the photos....even if i don't really like them. I should at least do my report. I have to finish up my editing but hopefully i will get that done soon. So the worst part of the photography is actually later (during the important stuff) but the morning photos are fine :confused3 don't really get that. its like he got tired and just gave up. It started with him taking 200+ photos of just me getting ready and in the house. then he would take like one photo of something important and hope for the best (which it wasn't) so i have a million photos of me getting ready and like 5 of me and DH:mad:

soooooooooo saying that lets get started on the day of the wedding

So I am not a morning person in anyway but this morning i woke up on my own at around 7....my mom being the crazy person she is was out already trying to get gas, bagels and who knows what else. I got up and sat outside on the porch. it was very sunny and not too hot. (this would def change...)

the hair dresser showed up at about 8am. and got right to work.

the flowers showed up at around 9am. First thing i noticed was DH's Bout was all wrong. (of course the girl already left because the hair dresser would not let me get up!!)

Now here was the problem i found out only days before. I wanted something like
Cymbidium_hybrid-yellow.jpg

what was ordered was
1266675524_b787f2b507.jpg

obviously maroon would not work at all with the colors. so I had to get rid of this. (I was a little sad about this) so when I was on the phone with the owner she said they could do lilies in my bouquet. now i originally wanted lilies but people told me they were too fragile. (which would be obvious later!) so she said they would be fine. Now I asked about DH's bout because it was suppose to be a yellow orchid. She said they couldn't do a lily because it was too big so she would do a different yellow flower that looked like mine. so when it arrived she gave us two to choose from. a TINY yellow rose (I hate roses....) and a white flower with a little yellow and brown in the center.:headache:
DSC_4571-1.jpg

this is what we got....obviously because of photography issues you can't tell the color that well.

I was very mad but what could I do?!? so my mom said just send them to DH and he will pick what he wants. so whatever that was done.
Then my BM's started to show up and be silly while I got my hair done.

soon the photographer arrived and took random photos while i started getting my makeup done.

Here are some of me getting makeup done....with half of my hair done!
DSC_4360.jpg

DSC_4363.jpg

DSC_4373.jpg

this is the only dress photo i ended up with....the rest were bad. And he used a fish eye on the pictures of the front which made the dress look like it was for a 400 pound person. (I hope you can realize I am not a 400 pound person ;) ) In what universe would you use a fisheye to make the dress look big?!?!?!

Then after my makeup I went back to get my hair finished. This is the using tweezers to put in the crystals
DSC_4378.jpg

Before I knew it people were telling me I really needed to be dressed by now. So no one thought to get dressed before me....so everyone was in PJ's or sundresses while helping me get ready :rotfl: which i think is funny because its so my friends.

there are no photos of me getting into the dress. (I love those photos of the dress like coming down? anyone know what i mean?) but I have none.

DSC_4390.jpg

the lacing project took a long time. The only one who knew how to lace it was my mom....and she was getting her makeup done!! so later I was told that they did it wrong...oooooh well. DH said it looked better this way because it looked like his cons! (laces)
DSC_4389.jpg

So this picture I like but I know the story behind it which makes it funnier that it just looks all happy. so....before I got ready I asked my mom if I should change my piercings now. She said no do it later. WHY i listened to her I will never know. because we couldn't get them out when we tried!!!! :scared1: and I was sweating and messing up my makeup so...we just gave up. before giving up one of the girls dropped the eyebrow ball...and they spent 20 mins on the floor looking for it! We clearly were very organized. So anyway this is my MOH giving me my monroe before we realized I was never going to get the other one out.

DSC_4391.jpg

Yep...still lacing

I was starting to get nervous at this point so there are a lot of me being very serious

looking back I wish I had asked my mom to put it on being that she bought it for me....but I didn't so oh well!
