THE Rings
I feel like I'm skipping to the end by showing these, but since they came in, I'm excited to share.
Since we're doing the fall thing, and Rob's into camping and nature (I'm into the nature part, but my idea of roughing it is a Motel 6!

), we really wanted to have rings that were "leafy". I searched everywhere. We also thought going "green" would be nice too. I found this website called
greenKarat that uses all recycled metals. We liked a lot of designs, but they were all in the thousands, and we were more than willing to skimp on the cost of our rings.

We did find a pine comb ring we liked, but I'm not a big fan of pine trees. We were trying to stick with maple and oak.
We ultimately went through a company in Arizona called
Exotica. Chris and Sandy are a husband and wife team that make their own titanium rings. They will pretty much engrave whatever you want in the rings. You just send them a picture, and they'll do it for you. They even will make rings in different colors.
The style we got is called Oakhaven. This was perfect for what we were looking for.
Here they are at home!
Some close-ups:
I mentioned to Sandy that we wanted cats on our rings to begin with, but thought the leaves would be more appropriate, and Chris offered to put a cat inside the ring. So we picked a silhouetted picture of a cat, and he put it inside. It's adorable!
The inscriptions are free. But I was sworn to secrecy on ours.

But I may give in with some prodding.

That way if I run into Ellebren or lurkyloo on our honeymoon, they can laugh at Rob and make me look like a very precious girl to have (it'll be too late-- he'll have already signed the marriage certificate!

).
Like I said, it was great trying them on (though we were so afraid of smudging them... we wanted them to look as sent to us, but of course, smudges had to happen), watching Rob all nervous. He thought it might be a faux pas to try them on before the wedding, but we at least needed to make sure they fit.
We love them.
