After Jess and Paul left for dinner Jeff and I are trying to think of something creative to do for them

Since we already bought them the champagne flutes, we knew it would involve champagne. But having champagne in the room seemed so boring and the room would be so tight w/ all of our stuff. Jeff and I decide we need some help so we go over to Mizners Lounge to see if they can help us out. Here we meet Lynette who is awesome! Just as awesome as Joe is actually! She says shed love to help us out w/ the engagement surprise. She says shell decorate a nice table for us w/ flowers and shell bring out champagne for Jess and Paul in their flutes, and shell also bring out some strawberries. That sounds great! Since Wishes is at 10, she tells us to come back around 10:30 since Jess and Paul should be here about 10:45. We are so excited
Now it was time to take the monorail over to the Contemporary to meet Laura (princessdisneybelle) at Chef Mickeys for dinner. I was so excited to meet a fellow DIS bride! We notice Chris and Laura as soon as we walked in b/c they were wearing their ears. Jeff refused to wear the ears so it was nice to see a couple who was actually wearing them. We waited quite a bit of time to be seated and we were finally seated!
We had a lot of fun meeting w/ all the characters.
Laura and Chris and Jeff and I even got some perks since it was our wedding time!
Mickey ravioli!
I was not too hungry this meal, so my meal mainly consisted of desserts- haha! We had a nice conversation w/ Laura and her family and it was time to say good-bye!
We were sad our DIS meet was over, but then we remembered Jess and Paul were about to get engaged! We were sooooo excited!
We got back to the GF and sat by Gasparillas to watch Wishes. After Wishes, we headed up to our room to get their champagne flutes and then headed over to Mizners Lounge. Andrea and Susan must have each called me 10 times tonight to see if the engagement happened. I told them both theyd know before I did b/c Jess would definitely call and tell the story to them first since she knew she was going to see me!
Lynette saw us and set up this beautiful table w/ flowers

I wish I took pictures but I left my camera in the room since I thought Jess and Paul would take pics when they got here. We waited and waited and waited for Jess and Paul. Lynette told us that some nights getting out of the MK after Wishes is quite a challenge, so we shouldnt worry. At 11:15, I finally texted Paul to see if everything was OK. He called me back and said, change of plans, I need 20 minutes Jen

Ok, what was going on? I frantically call Andrea and Susan and we speculate about what could have happened. Andrea suggests maybe they got in a fight. Not too bad of a speculation since they were at MK all day and could have definitely been cranky and tired. 20 minutes go by and still no sign of Jess and Paul. Mizners closes at midnight and if Jess and Paul dont show by then, Jeff and I are going to feel really really bad that we made poor Lynette do all of this work. Lynette supposedly did not care though. We were her only customers at this point and she said she really enjoyed talking to us.
At 11:50, Susan calls us and says the engagement happened. A minute later, I get confirmation from Andrea. Wohoo- at least they got engaged, we were really worried for a bit! Midnight rolls around and still no sign of Jess and Paul. Lynette gives us the champagne and strawberries for free b/c she says we were such good friends and had such nice intentions. That was so nice of her, we tipped her generously though for all her help
Jeff and I slowly make our way back to our room since we dont really know what else to do. Then Jess calls us and says theyre walking into the lobby of the GF. So, we head back to the lobby and give them their gifts. They are both ecstatic and just glowing! You can tell they both have never been happier

We were so happy for them. My gosh, I think I was happier for them than I was when Jeff and I got engaged

I was so glad they allowed us to share this moment with them. It is really something Ill always treasure.
This is their engagement story
Supposedly, Paul was all set to propose during Wishes but they were next to a hysterically crying child (no way, in Disney- haha

) and he thought that kind of ruined the mood. He even got down on one knee at one point and then decided to get up. After Wishes ended, he ran up to the stage by the castle and begged a security guy to get up there. the security guy lets them, but then some other CM tells them they are not allowed up there, so they get down. They take the monorail to the Poly and Paul suggests they get out and walk from there. Hawaii is Jess and Pauls favorite place in the world. They went on their first trip together there 2 years ago and have been wanting to go back. Jesss favorite character is Stitch, and the Poly is Stitchs home. Paul finds a spot on the beach at the Poly where the castle can also be seen. He tells Jess something in Italian-- like lets see if you were really meant to be my princess

He pulls out a glass slipper from Arribas Bros. and sees if it fits on Jesss foot. Now Jess is a little upset b/c she thought she was getting proposed to, but now she thought she was just getting a lousy glass slipper- haha

Then Paul said something like oh no it doesnt fit, here I have something else that might fit better
and he got down on one knee, proposed to her, and the ring fit perfectly
We stayed up with them in the GF lobby for awhile. They told us how the big day wont come for 2 years and they were debating between Hawaii and NJ for the location. It was really great to spend this time w/ them. They were just glowing with excitement and we were so glad to be there. We went back to the room and they gathered their things and we said good night to our newly engaged friends around 2 am
Next up- A scary phone call at 5 am! And our last day at WDW
