Has anyone ever been to the piano bar called Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk Resort? When would be the best time to go? Early in the evening or late at night? We've wanted to go the past two times we've been to Disney but never had the time. In May, we would really like to go. Thanks!

In my experiences there it is best to go early to get a table close to the action. However, as the night goes on it gets more lively and exciting...so there is a plus to both strategies.

I'm not good at attaching links, but if you do a search for Jelly Rolls (I think the link is under theme parks) there are the best postings. I'll see if I can find it. I was just reading it yesterday, so it can't be too hard to find. All the regulars give tips on what songs to recommend, when to get there, how to get your song played, who the best pianists are, etc. The posting alone was fun to read.

Ok, I found it when I did a search, sorry I don't know how to post the link here.

It is under the Theme Parks Strategies and it's entitled "Jellyrolls facts thread". The last posting was 2/22/2010. It has absolutely everything you need to know about Jellyrolls and 6 pages of people who are fans and posting what they love about it.

Hi, my best friend and I go every time we are at Disney. We love it. It is alot of fun and by the time you leave--you may not have a voice from all the singing and shouting (all optional-of course).

We usually go around 9:30 to get a good table, and to make sure to get a table. If you go during the week, probably will not have a problem getting a table. If you go on the weekend, I would go early.

It is one of the last places adults can go after hours on property, since they closed down Pleasure Island. If you are going to drink, plan to take a cab back to the hotel, unless you are close by and can walk back to your room. The cabs are at the BW main lobby and are easy to get and an inexpensive and safe way to get home.

Hope you go -- have a great time.

We usually go early - at 7p. But we like to sit and have a few quite drinks before things start hoppin'. By 8p the tables are starting to fill up. By 9p things are really getting going. By 10p - standing room only ( usually ).

We are staying at the Dolphin, so transportation isn't a concern, but a few people have mentioned that since they closed down Pleasure Island, Disney now has buses waiting late night that will take you directly to your resort, whichever resort that might be. They said all you have to do is go up to any bus waiting and they will usually take you or they will point you to the bus that will, regardless of what the destination is stated on the bus.

Must add onto the pile! Yes, go to Jellyrolls! My wife and I did this and a BALL. Just remember to eat something beforehand, as the only food they served was popcorn. We would have gone earlier if we could do it again, because we were standing the entire time.

I make sure I go a few times every trip - it's so much fun!

Here's some info:
Jellyrolls is a 21+ dueling piano bar and cover charge is $10/person.

The doors open at 7pm, but entertainment doesn't start until 8pm. Last call is 1:30am and doors close promptly at 2am.

There are 4 piano players each night, 2 each hour and they are all extremely talented. Music is all-request and the more money you put up, the faster your request is played.

HTH!!! :goodvibes

How far of a walk down the board walk is Jelly Rolls from BWV?

JellyRolls is attached to the end of the BWVs',Just walk toward the Alantic City dance club(hope that is the right name)and you will see JellyRolls on your left.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Perfect! that means DH & I can have a few drinks & not have to worry about how we're gonna get back to the hotel :banana:

This is something I've been meaning to do, since I learned Jellyrolls went smokefree. My husb and I planned to go in Feb and completely forgot. I already have it noted on my Nov to-do list.
